We had fun with weird facts about ourselves (don't forget there are plenty of you who still need to respond to that one) So how about your pets? I don't have any, but years ago my parents had a dog who loved jello and hide behind my Dad's recliner during thunder storms. He also ate my Mother's parakeet.

Your turn!

My baby has her own recliner! She took it over as soon as we brought it home.

She has to have her head either on the arm of the chair or a pillow when she sleeps.

She likes to get in my spot on the bed when I'm ready to go to bed.

Bashful likes to lick DH's armpit.

I have a dog that acts like a cat. He lounges on the back of the sofa. He also coughs up hairballs. We sometimes call him 'CatDog' after the Nickelodean cartoon.

Pumpkin (cat) - wants to lick your nose with her sandpaper tongue until it is sore, will yawn if you scratch her between the eyes just right, has an unnatural relationship with Ziggy (dachshund)

Ziggy (dachshund) - will eat anything remotely organic, eats so fast he will choke and gag, loves to nibble on cats

Sparkles and Comet (goldfish) - will dance at one side of the aquarium whenever a person is near, hoping to be fed

Cricket (cat) - eats crickets (hence her name), only wants to be held and petted if you are seated at the computer and is very standoffish otherwise

Teena (cat) - wants to spend all her time outside in a bed of mulch soaking up the sun

Buddy (cat) - won't eat until you pet him

My cat goes bonkers when he hears the Spongebob Squarepants song (the whole "who lives in a pineapple under the sea")

Strange, strange puss........

As a puppy mine chewed anything electronic! INcluding the 220 line coming into the house from the AC unit outside!

We have to hold our dog's food bowl or else he wont finish it. And since I put his arthritis medicine in there, I have to make sure he eats that too.

Boo likes to sleep with either his head or his left paw propped up on my head every night.:teeth: He's also allergic to grass, but that doesn't keep him from rolling in it when it's freshly cut. He also thinks he's his mama's baby, he doesn't like for me to call my kids' my babies.;)

Our little cat Ren, goes all the way into our DD17's room and brings out her makeup brush in between her teeth. She will carry it all the way out in the living room or master bedroom and drop it. Then she just walks away.

We always put it back (it's kept up on DD's desk in her bedroom), but Ren always goes back and gets it and brings it out again. It's too funny!

Our other cat, Cinder, is about 25 lbs. but insists on cramming himself into my Longaberger Medium Market Basket. I mean, this cat is as big as the basket itself!

They are so cute, but unbelievable sometimes!

My westie likes to go into DS's room when is sleeping in the morning. She lays down near his bed and woofs softly. If he moves around, she starts barking and jumping up on the side of the bed. She figures it is time for him to get up! Being a teenager who likes to sleep, he usually doesn't appreciate it.

Well, Skye chews on more things than I've ever had a dog chew on. :)

My 19-pound cat Tiger loves his pacifier. He really does lounge around sucking a pacifier. He also loves water, if you don't watch out he's in the shower with you. Of course, you also have to watch a glass you leave sitting out, he's got his head stuck before trying to drink out of half full glasses. Thought of another one, if you ask if he wants to stretch he'll sit up on his back legs and lift his front legs up in the air, you then have to pick up him in a stretching motion and he'll stretch and make a shuddering motion, kind of hard to explain that one.

Cordelia and Doyle go nuts for the Angel theme song(and Cordelia loves the Buffy song as well)

I had a dog that when I practiced my putting she would snatch the balls and hide them in her dog house

When DH calls me on the Nextel during the day, Snoopy starts meowing like crazy. I'm not sure if she misses him and is excited to hear his voice, or if she is trying to drown him out ;)
She doesn't like to drink from a bowl. She used to drink from a table fountain, but it kept growing algae and I was afraid to use any cleansers on it...so I threw it away. She prefers to lick the condensation from the outside of a glass or can. Unless it's milk, in which case she will just stick her head in and lap away, if you don't watch it.

Jarrett(my wonderful beagle son) would eat any human food except for canned biscuits and eggs. Now he would eat a homemade biscuit ....but no canned ones. He's now in heaven probably munching on some beacon strips.

Our three cats are weird too.
Lima the tabby cat will vomit on purpose after I've vacuumed the carpet. Makes me so mad...but I vacuum anyway.

Kilo our short haired black cat runs and begs for water out of the tub faucet. She also won't sleep on my husbands side of the bed...only my side.

Max our only boy and long haired black cat is the weirdest cat of all. When we're going down stairs he'll only go down 2 in front of us and then turn around to see if we're still coming.
He also likes to sniff my husbands arm pits
He doesn't like to be held by anyone except me...and he lets me do anything I want as far as toting him, rubbing his belly...whatever...but if my husband tries it...he's ready for a play fight.
ummm....he'll grumble and cry when the two girls won't let him stay in the same room as them...so he comes to me instead. He loves to jump in my lap when I'm at the computer and walk on the keyboard.

They have other quirks just can't think of them right now.

My cat Layla likes to lick Vaseline! I don't know why. I just know I can't leave the open jar unattended!

My sister's late dog Marvin would eat absolutely anything. ANYTHING. One eventful Thanksgiving, he managed to sneak in and devour 8# of turkey and about 3# of peanut brittle. He just laid there making a kind of moaning sound the rest of the day. He also seemed to enjoy paper products such as packing peanuts and tampons. NO, not used!!! Only the clean stuff for him!

Now, my little poodle Petey, he will lick anything. He's been known to lick blankets for hours on end. So much so that you think he peed on it

He sleeps in the bed with me but when he's napping on the couch he drags out a pair of my dirty undies and sleeps with them. At bedtime, he brings a toy or 2 in to the bed with him. Not to play with. Guess it's like a teddy bear for him. He loves Applejacks cereal too.

My dog and both my cats seem to instinctively know when I am headed to the bathroom. All 3 just HAVE to come sit on the rug in front of me and watch. And then inspect the bowl before I flush. Maybe they figure it's only fair because I scoop their litter box and pick up their poop?

We used to have a golden named Lady who would only go #2 if DH said a certain word.

Our cat is very strange!! Chicklit (short for Chicken Little) likes to play fetch with soda bottle caps. If you throw it she will fetch it and bring it back for more. She plays soccer with them too! Every night at 10pm she lays on her back, stretched far out with her paws in the air and makes a baby noise at DH. This means it's time for her to be picked up and taken to bed! Chicklit also prefers to drink water from my hand rather than her bowl. She sits on the sink in the morning waiting for me to finish brushing my teeth and then meows at me to give her water! She also has a favorite chair which we say belongs to DS but whenever he goes to sit in it, Chicklit jumps into it and stares at him! Annmarie
