Weird Disney Rewards Email...

Anyone else get an email from Disney Rewards recently (got mine yesterday) about grabbing a voucher soon because they are about to announce a big reward? I'm guessing that it isn't anything park related, but am still hoping that it is a November package discount!!

I don't think I got the email you're talking about, but I did see a new reward of a 3 night stay at Art of Animation resort for either 22000 or 23000 points. Could that be what it's about?

That's the email that I received, it was from DisneyMovieRewards. When you buy a Disney DVD you enter the code from the dvd materials and then you accumulate points. They were saying you could use your points for AoA. I figured you'd need to buy over 200 dvds to accumulate that many points.


We are Disney Visa premiere card holders and I don't recall getting an email.

I have NO IDEA. It's been three weeks, and nothing has been sent since. I know it says brought to you buy disney stores, but I'm trying not to read into it : )

The last time they did this, it was just for a big Disney Store sale. It will most definitely not be any type of room/dining discount. Just something for the Disney Store.

We have a Disney store opening near us in May(woo hoo!) and I would love to have some kind of discount. I've still not received the email though. I wonder if I can ask Chase about it since we've had a Disney VISA for years now. Hmmmm....

My concern is that once you load dollars onto a redemption card then the clock starts ticking for expiration, correct? (one year to use?). I haven't requested a card since 2010 and we used it all at WDW parks so I never had to worry about it expiring.

With this "promotion" I'd be a bit worried about loading up too much on the card and then later finding that I'd need to use it up on something I really didn't need or want.

Curious to see what this ends up being.

If you order a card today, the expiration would be 12/31/13. It is always good until the end of the following year. Also, it is always best when ordering to do the minimum amount (I think it's $20). You can instantly add more dollars to the card by web or by phone, but you cannot transfer them back to your account once they have been put on a redemption card.

One tip: If your rewards card is about to expire, just buy a Disney gift card with the remaining dollars. Gift cards do not expire, so you should never ever have lost rewards.
