Weight Watchers and WDW Restaurants

I'm also down about 80 pounds, so I think my water in-take works for me. :cool1:

The requirement is 8 cups a day if I remember correctly. That is really not all that much. I can't drink a ton of water either. I am in a classroom and cannot be running to the restroom every hour.

I hate to say this and please do not blast me but I really think the water is a good idea but it will not make or break your weight loss. What DOES is the points, measuring, staying on CORE (if that is what you do) and getting some excercise just speeds along the process. I can loose without exercise yes....but with it I loose faster and look better.

(I know this because I have not exercised in a while  and even though I weigh less than I ever have...I look a bit more flabby....:headache:  )

No flaming here. Actually, only half the water WW recommends has to be pure water. The rest can be any non-caffinated non-carbonated non-alcoholic beverages, like milk, herbal teas, juices, etc. There are lots of benefits of drinking water but some people rely on it more than others.

That being said, it is 100 degrees and 99% humidity where I am today & just walking to my vehicle drenches me in sweat. I think you could be reassured that you could easily drink 3 liters of fluids & not be in the bathroom all day if you are at Disney in this kind of weather.

Over here they also recommend 8 glasses of water
8 glasses * 200 ml = 1.6 liter.

Really, I don't want to flame anyone about what they are or aren't drinking :) The general advise we get is to drink 1.5-2 liters of water a day, that's why I wondered if the 1 liter was the only thing you drink :)
BTW, I am running to the ladies room about once every 1.5 hour... I just told my colleagues I have to walk a little every 1.5 hours, so nobody looks up when I am once again leaving my desk. When you teach of course, things aren't so easy...

I know that you don't loose weight by just drinking water. But the more I drink, the less I eat, so in my case it works. And it makes me walk... I should measure how far it is from my desk to the ladies room, maybe I can eat an "exercise" point a day because of it! ;)

I have always been told that if you don't drink ENOUGH water your body retains water and thus you gain weight. For me this has been VERY true. If I am not getting at least the minimum in each day I notice a weight gain.

Let me ask some of you Lifetimers, I've been maintaining for 8 months, how often do you weigh at home? I weigh everyday and my husband gets onto me about it. BUT I didn't even buy a scale for home until after I met goal. When I was losing I only weighed on Saturday mornings at my meeting.

For the most part I try to only weigh myself at most 2-3 times a week, when I'm at goal. Right now I'm in the process of getting back to goal, so I have been weighing myself everyday, which has its good and bad points.

I know this has been answered already - but I'm going to Disney World in December (Been on Weight Watchers since January) and I plan to eat what I want. For me, it seems that even if I veer off the path for a couple of days that it doesn't have a significant effect.

I was sick last week and made frequent stops to Houlihans for Baked Potato soup (for my throat) and sandwiches at Quick Chek and I wound up losing weight. I ate a good breakfast and just drank water.

I just think that when I go there and do all that walking that I'll be fine. Part of the experience for me is enjoying the food - but to each their own. :goodvibes

I've been lifetime for 5 years (I'm losing again because I had a baby) and I weigh almost every day. Once you are at goal, it actually has been proven that people who weigh daily stay at goal longer as you can make adjustments easily before things get out of control. But when you are losing, weighing daily can be discouraging as obviously you aren't going to see a loss every day.

Water is tricky. You can easily drink too much or not enough -- both, I'm told, will cause you to retain. (Of course, the rules go out the window when you're walking around in 100 degree heat all day long!) Water is also very good for your skin, and fills you up when you're feeling hungry.

I'd say when I'm at Disney, I drink water about 80% of the day. Other than that, I'll have decaf coffee with breakfast (I kicked caffeine a while ago), and the Lite Lemonade wherever I can find it (not every CS or snack cart has it). I rarely drink soda, unless I go offsite and get some Caff. Free Diet Pepsi. I'm sooo not a Diet Coke fan! :P
