Weight Limitations?

We are heading out to WDW next week (yeah!), but I was wondering if there were any rides that had weight limitations/problems/concerns that I should be aware of. My DH is 6'5" and a tad over 300lbs - I do not want to insist he go on a ride/roller coaster and then have him not fit or hold-up the start of a ride. He was very embarrassed one time at Six Flags over a roller coaster where we were in the regular line, got on board and then the shoulder bar would not engage. Finally the guest services person came over and said he had to ride in one particular seat that was larger - we never knew and would have gone in that line had we known.

Anyway, any rides we should sit in a certain area, seat, location, line etc?

Thanks!
KC

My brother is about the same size as your hubby. He went with us one year and had no problem with any of the rides. The only weight limitation I know of at WDW is on Space Mountain, and that's for the entire car...not for just one person. If the car is over limit, it is diverted. But we were able to go on it with all adults, including him, without a problem.

I found this link for you that lists all of the parks and if you go to the ride section, it will tell you the restrictions. It looks like your hubby should have no problems enjoying all WDW has to offer!!

I have never had a problem at WDW. I am 5'5 and weigh probably 325-350lbs. DH and I had to use a small extension belt on Dumbo, and won't ride in it together again, but we were not terribly uncomfortable. I haven't ridden Space or Splash Mountain nor EE, RnRC,or ToT, so I can't tell you about them, but I have ridden just about everyother ride and never had trouble. My trouble is the turnstiles and they will always let me through the HA chain. Make sure he always pulls the seatbelts out all the way before sitting down on the rides that have seatbelts and he won't have a problem, Test track is the one that comes to mind and I always ride up front (just works out that way) and it seems to have more leg room. BTMRR has no leg room whatsoever no matter where you sit, but the lap belt fits fine.

If you think of a specific ride, just ask and I will be happy to share my experience.

My DH is 6'3" and right at the 300 mark. Other than his legs being a little squished on rides he's never had a problem due to his size. For that matter neither have I and I'm 5'9" and just under 300.

He wont have a problem with weight limitations, if you are pooh sized going on Kali River Rapids together will be tight, but otherwise it is just his height that will give him a little discomfort.

I have definitely learned a bit and feel more comfortable making him have fun! Thanks again!!

The only thing I"ve heard of with a specific wt requirement are the segway tours. I believe its 250, but not 100% sure on that. Enjoy your trip!

I think the Astro Orbiter at the MK is uncomfortable. My boyfriend is a big guy and said it was really painful to ride. Heck, I'm 5'4" and 135 lbs and I could barely get in and out of it.
