Weight Limit on Pull-Down Bunk?

My sons (22 and 24) were under the weight limit....but it was short in length. Something else to consider!

How tall are they? We will be in a family verrandah room so want to figure out who gets which bed before we go so they can be prepared. My younger two likely won't want the top bunk but I'm not sure if my eldest will fit.

5'11-6" ish. They made my daughter (5'8") take the bunk. I think the sofa was a little on the shorter side too.

I believe they are the same in length.

We were just on the Wonder last week. The sofa bed was slightly longer than the pull-down. When they're both opened up, you can clearly see that the rails on the pull-down make the overall length shorter. It was a whole issue for my family (with tears LOL), and we later realized that's the last time we can book that category. My 5'11" daughter got the sofabed and younger son the pull-down, but by the time we cruise again, he's possibly going to be taller than her. She was ok on the sofabed, but definitely felt the difference between that and a regular twin more than the last cruise (she was probably more in the 5'8"-5'9" range then). She sleeps on a regular twin in a 4-poster at home and never has her feet touching the frame on that, but she's pretty much the max you could fit on the sofa bed comfortably.

Now all I can do is cross my fingers she quits growing or her brother only grows 5inches before we use our placeholder haha! Tall people problems! FWIW I'm destined to be the family shrimp at 5'10" and I'm NOT sleeping on the pull-down!! :)

If I recall, there was no bottom railing on the bunk when my boys were in it on the Fantasy. Perhaps it's removable?

Never mind. I checked my photos again. The railing is there, but the kids were putting their feet through it. My 6' DS had no problems on it.

One of the reasons my sister likes the murphy bed is no end rail ;-) She also find it more comfortable than the sofa bed. So we are now relegated to staterooms with murphy beds...
