WeGoShop or Gardengrocer?

We'll be staying at POP in mid February without the dining plan. Instead of hauling down snacks and water, I was thinking of trying one of these services. Does anyone have any thought on which one? Do you have to be there for the delivery? We're not looking for anything perishable, just granola bars and such.

My have used both services, and my vote is for wegoshop. Marge was great! She was promt, and called us the day of arrival when she couldn't find a couple of specific items we had ordered, in order to verify which substitution would be ok. She was at our resort right when she said she would be. I really appreciated her willingness to communicate with us. She was very friendly and offered us a discount on a 2nd delivery. We will definitely use her services again in the future. GG was fine however when we used them, we had added onto our order they never confirmed they got our request, and we had to wait until the order was delivered to make sure we got everything we ordered. They did get the order, and delivered it, but I didn't like having to wait to find out. An email of "we got your add-on request" wouldn't have been that difficult for them to do. This was a common complaint I read here on the Dis as well. Hopefully they have changed this by now. Also, the delivery fees make it seems like GG is less, but with WGS, you can order from any store you like, any item you like. So we didn't feel that the cost difference was really all that much in the end.

hth!

We've used wegoshop twice now and were very pleased! Marge was great to work with. We had our groceries delivered prior to our arrival and then called baggage services to deliver them to our room once we got checked in and settled. The whole process could not have worked out any better. I definitely feel that the delivery fee is well worth the time it saves you shopping for those items once you arrive. (We fly so taking those things isn't practical for us.) I also like that wegoshop will go to any store and get any item. My understanding about Garden Grocer is that you have to choose from a premade list what you want to order. When I looked at it, the list didn't have the items/brands I needed. HTH.

Thanks so much for the replies! I think WeGoShop is going to be the winner, it has such positive reviews. I know that even without the dining plan we are not going to need much food, but I really don't want to try and find room in our already crowded luggage. Can't wait to go, it is going to be 7 degrees here this week!

I like gardergrocer but then we stayed in a cabin & I got a good many groceries. I will have to check out wegoshop for our next trip.

We ended up with wegoshop, too, mainly because GG didn't have half of the items on my list. Marge found every single item on my list - and some were even on sale, and she passed on the savings to us. I'd definitely use her again.

We used gardengrocer last month and were happy. They even let us call in and order more water and soda when we ran out.
