Topic: Fireworks

I'm moving the regularly scheduled topic for this week back a few weeks due to the tragic event over the weekend.. Fireworks is a better fit this week anyway.

Remember: Pictures should be as original as possible with minimal editing. This is a photography contest, not a photo editing contest. Please post your entry by midnight Sunday, July 12 to ensure it will be included in voting. Make sure your entry is within the 800x600 size limit, be aware some photo hosting sites that resize for you (like photobucket) dont produce accurate results.

I just want to say that this weeks photos are absolutely gorgeous!! I frequent this board, but am not much of a picture taker myself. These are amazing!! I say everyone should win this week.

I'm getting very excited! We're hoping to get some good shots this year!

Front and center between Edy's and Casey's.
Tripod and remote release on a Nikon D70 for that one. There are a ton of threads on fireworks shooting laying around here. For some of us it is an addiction.

I can almost guarantee that most all of the best fireworks shots were done using a tripod (or other supporting device).
