Weekly cvs 9/6-9/12

I took my kids with me to CVS today - my first mistake :rotfl: and as I'm checking out I forgot to give her my ECB's and instead put $24 on my debit card and the cashier would not try to cancel it, so now I have that many more ECB's to try to use and one is for $15 and those are harder to use......:headache:

I just needed to vent...thanks for listening

Cashiers seem to fall into two groups. They either seem to be totally helpful, kind, understanding, and positive OR totally evil. Unfortunately, if they expire next week, it might be a challenge. It doesn't look like a great week at CVS. :sad2:

I noticed that, too, that some stores have two trial sections. More to keep straight and remember! My mind is too cluttered the way it is. And those cookies (Almonette) you recommended keep calling my name. I think buying those was a BIG mistake. :lmao:

You might find this interesting, LanaJae. I went back to Mahtomedi this afternoon thinking they MIGHT just have changed it from 75% to 90% on summer clearance. Well, they changed it all right! The 75% off signs were gone and there was basically NONE of it on clearance anymore. :scared1: Maybe the new mgr. thinks Labor Day is the time to stop the clearance sales?! :confused3

That's weird, unless she wants the cashiers to manually override and enter the clearance price? They've done some weird things over there like pull every clearance item out of inventory and then ring up as taxable or non-taxable, and then you can't use coupons - this is losing the store money, but they don't listen to me :rotfl2: That store has the lowest sales volume in the cities.

Can somebody give me the link to the caregivers site that gives rebates for certain items?

Its happened to me too, and I hate it! but the cashier should have done a return and rebuy for you, its no big deal and they are there until their shift is done, not like they have something better to do. You could go back and they can redo it if you want, but sometimes that draws too much unwanted attention.

We went to a flea market today for the first time in many years. Now I know what most people are doing with all the bargains from CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid etc. I would walk by a booth and tell DH I have all this stuff in my "supply closet" just not as many of each. :cool1:

One place had Ped Eggs, Ped Egg refills, Smooth Away, and those bra things so your straps don't show for $2 each. I bought refills for my Ped Egg but wonder where they got those so cheap?

:confused3 I had the same thing happen last week at a flea market in Shipshewana, IN. We didn't walk the whole thing but just a few rows in from where we started a lady had several tubs full of some of the same things we've been getting at CVS and Walgreens.

Hi! I'm brand spankin new to this particular thread. I'm wanting to get on board and learn 'how to CVS'. Is there a "CVS for dummies" thread or blog to get me started on learning all of these ins and outs of it?

Thank you in advance!

IT says limit reached on the Renu coupon:confused3 does anyone have it in PDF:lovestruc

There are some people at slickdeals that do that for the ones that don't have serial numbers and/or watermarks, but this one was Bricks I think - I am going to mail you what I have left - finally have something you can use so I'm doing the happy dance!!! The mail is coming soon so just going to shove them in an envelope so am apologizing in advance for that

Yes, this is a good place: http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/cvs-need-hand-were-here-help/

It will make more sense once you go shopping a few times, then just start buying what everyone else says (writes lol) they buy each week and don't be afraid to ask us any questions at all!

Did some more Schick Quattro Bogos today and 90% clearance. Lots of straws, goggles, swim floaties, diving sticks etc. Also scored a bunch of sally hansen nail polish on clearance (used $1 coupons) and wet n wild lipstick for 9 cents a tube. Good day!

Speaking of summer clearance....

Anyone have plans for an outdoor, garage, barn type party? Consider buying a kiddie inflatable pool. We used a tiny one and a regular one for icing down stuff. The lil one held a few 2 ltrs and cans of pop. The large one fit perfectly on a round outdoor table. We then filled with ice and set all the cold salads, veggies, dips, condiments, cheeses and anything else we thought should stay cold. We set it all up with saran wrap on each bowl then tossed a heavy blanket over the whole thing. A few minutes before the party started we removed the blanket and saran wrap and had a nice cute layout. Every female that came asked me where I got the idea. :thumbsup2

I made it in on the Aussie shampoo before the sale ended today! Phew!

Aussie Shampoo 2.99
Aussie Shampoo 2.99
Aussie Conditioner 2.99
Schick disposable razors 6.99
Violage trial shampoo 1.49
Lumene cream small tub 2.99
-$4/$20 CVS coupon
-$3 Schick disposable razor coupon
-$1.49 free Violage CVS coupon
-$5 off Lumene Vitamin C+
= $6.95 + tax

I got back $6 ECB for the Aussie and $4 ECB for the Schick razors.

They took off the whole $5 for the Lumene.

Had to run to our 24hr CVS tonite to get some neutrogena make up, Aussie mousse and gel, and coppertone before the 3 day sale went off.
I did great!
1st Trans:
2 neutrogena make-ups bogof 8.99
2 coppertone suntan lotion 6.99ea
I then used a $4/20, 4/20 skin care (and it didn't beep), 2 neutrogena $2. Qs, and 2 coppertone $5 Qs. My oop was just under $2 and most of that was tax. I didn't earn any ECBs but this is stuff WE will use.

2nd trans:
schick razors 6.99
aussie style gel 2.99
aussie mousse 2.99
bayer quick release packets 1.50
12 pkgs of huggies lil swimmers .89 ea
I then used a $5/25 quiz Q, a $4/20, $3 schick Q, $2 off 2 aussie Q, $1 bayer Q, and spent a $10 ECB and .50ish OOP.
I got back $4 schick ECB and $4 Aussie ECB. So I lost $2 in ECB but I still think I made out great.

We have a pool and I like to have some of the swim diapers, but I may sell a couple of packs to DSil for $2.50 ea, she will still be thrilled. :rotfl:

I've seen this done and thought it was such a great idea, so am going to look for some tomorrow - thanks!

BTW, the beach chairs at ours still aren't marked down. :confused3
Any idea why and when these might go?
TIA! :goodvibes

They are on the list to save until next year, same with the big umbrellas, but some stores will clearance them anyway.

Oh Okay. while it makes some sense because obviously it's not like they are going to spoil or anything, but one of our stores has like 30 of them. I mean is it really cost effective for them to store that many of them? I would think that if they marked them down some, not necessarily 90% but maybe 30 to 50% off, they would be better off than storing them. If people didn't buy them at full price this year, what makes CVS think that people are going to buy them at full price next year? :lmao: Don't get that concept. :rolleyes1
