Weekly cvs 9/6-9/12

Wow everyone is cleaning up today!

ShiPoo - I only bought towels, bubbles and goggles/masks at old Woodbury so they are fibbing! :lmao: I did buy a lot of goggles though. You are so right about Rob, he is the best.

I didn't go to Mahtomedi but I want to go and get more cookies, I love them, I was laying in bed last night thinking about them:rotfl:

Maggie - corporate will call that store and tell them you can use 2 on a BOGO if you feel like calling them tomorrow.

Jennifer - that is so sweet that the guy paid it!

plutofreak - we buy the things in the ad that end up being free after coupons and extra bucks, then we spend the extra bucks to buy more things. It's a difficult week to start, but just keep reading this thread and copying what others say they buy. It is a game - a very fun one! Today people are talking about buying summer items at 90% off, but if you look at the previous posts, you can copy some deals such as the sunscreen one I did.

I had never thought of freezing them but I do not see why it would hurt. Cakes freeze very well and cookies have most of the same ingredients. We all know M&Ms freeze well. My grandchildren will swear to it.

We went to a flea market today for the first time in many years. Now I know what most people are doing with all the bargains from CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid etc. I would walk by a booth and tell DH I have all this stuff in my "supply closet" just not as many of each. :cool1:

One place had Ped Eggs, Ped Egg refills, Smooth Away, and those bra things so your straps don't show for $2 each. I bought refills for my Ped Egg but wonder where they got those so cheap?

Thanks, I am going to try it and see what they taste like after a few weeks.

I think the Ped Egg stuff came from Walgreens, I remember that deal.

For some reason I don't mind if people sell stuff at garage sales, but doing it at flea markets bugs me (oh I made a pun ). Probably it bothers me because I think they are shopping as a profession and keeping us from the stock lol

Yeah, I agree....if they are regulars at a flea market and have that much stock then they are doing it professionally. I don't mind the yard salers though.....I made $800 this spring selling my excess stash and that was after giving bags and bags of stuff away to family and donating a bunch of stuff. I wish my neighborhood was having another sale this fall as my stash is ridiculous again!

I worked 10-6 today but I managed to get in 2 quick runs on the way into work. The one store was at 90% so I got a bunch of toys for my son and goggles and stuff. I also did the Schick disposables, Schick bogo, Aussie, Crest and Life Lock. I broke even because the summer clearance ate up my $5 ready fill coupon, so a good day!

Hopefully I can get out tomorrow to get some more clearance and do the Coppertone and renu deals.

I feel the same way because these people had at least 10 of everything. And most were a lot more than that. But I do have a yard sale each spring that neighbors watch for to get good deals on my stash.

It's been a while since I CVSed & I've been reading up on the deals you guys have found this week. One question - the ready fill coupons you are talking about, can you still get those???

Yes, and I think the pharmacies would be much more willing to give them out more freely this week as they expire on the 12th. There are probably some stores that are out of them.

They will most likely continue to scan for 2 weeks after the expiration date though.

I got shot down from using 2 of the $4 coupons for the Schick blades. She said I could only use one since it was BOGOF. Oh well. I still got them because its still a pretty good deal. I prefer to get the refills than the razors so whenever there is a decent deal, I'll get it.

I got

2 Wisk detergent $4.96 x 2
2 Schick blades $9.99 each BOGOF
1 CVS cocoa butter lotion .99
-$1.50 Wisk coupon
-$4 Schick coupon
-.99 CVS free lotion coupon
-$4/$20 CVS coupon
-$6 ECB
I paid about $5 OOP since they wouldn't take one of the $4 Schick coupons that I had planned on using.

We were low on detergent and the Wisk included the HE variety so I picked that up. I lost a few ECB, but I usually spend money OOP for detergent, so its ok.

Maggie

Where did you get the coupon for the CVS lotion?

Thanks!

I got mine on the bottom of my CVS crt. I found it in the trial sizes.

Me too. The coupon was at the bottom of my receipt. It said Free CVS cocoa butter lotion .75 oz.

It is a tiny little tube and my store had them in little round bins at the front of the store near the register.

Mine was for a 2 oz Viologgie conditioner or shampoo. I didn't get back to the travel section to see if they were there....but it wasn't in with the regular shampoos. I'll look for it the next time I am in. I didn't get anything on my other card though

I got the same one as you, I had to discover that we have 2 trial sections at one store lol I wish it had been Fruitopia instead, love that stuff!

I got both - the shampoo and the lotion! They were both on the bottom of the same receipt.

Paid $14.88 OOP today and saved $187.96!!!! And got 4 ECB's back. Super excited. My kids have been asking for sidewalk chalk forever and at $6.00 I kept saying no. But for $.49 you got yourself some chalk. I could have probably walked out of there spending much less but it was all so cheap that I ended up getting stuff for gifts.

:yay: You did great! :yay:

I noticed that, too, that some stores have two trial sections. More to keep straight and remember! My mind is too cluttered the way it is. And those cookies (Almonette) you recommended keep calling my name. I think buying those was a BIG mistake. :lmao:

You might find this interesting, LanaJae. I went back to Mahtomedi this afternoon thinking they MIGHT just have changed it from 75% to 90% on summer clearance. Well, they changed it all right! The 75% off signs were gone and there was basically NONE of it on clearance anymore. :scared1: Maybe the new mgr. thinks Labor Day is the time to stop the clearance sales?! :confused3

KION10 CVS was not so great for me today but using your blog I paid $13 for $47 worth of merchandise at WalMart today. :cool1::banana: Usually WalMart is one of the place I avoid like the plaque but it was really fun today thanks to you.

For some reason the A-1 sauce was Over $3 at our store. I did not even see a tag for one that was a little over $2.

Sorry guys this was not CVS related.

Can somebody give me the link to the caregivers site that gives rebates for certain items?

I took my kids with me to CVS today - my first mistake :rotfl: and as I'm checking out I forgot to give her my ECB's and instead put $24 on my debit card and the cashier would not try to cancel it, so now I have that many more ECB's to try to use and one is for $15 and those are harder to use......:headache:

I just needed to vent...thanks for listening

Sorry. 2 more newbie questions:

1. Can I use 2 MFC for the BOGO colgate toothpaste?

2. Does CVS limit the number of coupons used? At Walgreens, you can't have more coupons than products including register rewards. I've been working on my CVS trip and will end up using more coupons, including ECBs, than I have products. Will this go through?

Thanks (again)!

YMMV on using 2 mfg. coupons on BOGOF. However, LanaJae said if you call corporate CVS, they will call your CVS and inform them that this is permissible. There was only one time that I had a problem. Every other time it worked like a charm. :goodvibes

You don't have to worry at CVS about using more coupons than products. No need to count like you do at Wags. That's the main reason I prefer CVS over Wags. :thumbsup2
