Last weekend I went to WDW for the weekend to attend Night of Joy and visit Pleasure Island 1 last time before they close. The trip was great for the most part.
1. Bus drivers were terrific! Absolutely no problems with transportation this time. No attitude about tying down the PWC. Everyone seatbelted me.
2. For the most part they were great about my dietary needs. We only did counter service. Only once was a CM uncooperative. That was at Starring Rolls at Studios. They had nothing without cheese and were very rude when I asked if they could provide something dairy-free. Treated me like I had 2 heads. We left and when to the CS by Indy and the food was pretty much the same but the attitude was completely opposite! The manager came out and worked with me to find something I could safely eat.
3. DRC messed up the reservations again but All Star Music came through and found an accessible room that meet my needs even though they did have to move me to the Movies. Good job from All Star Music. They even checked me in over there so I did not have to go through the line again at Movies.
4. Night of Joy was great although Lights, Action, Motors Theatre was not the best venue. The 2 interpreters were good, especially Chris who was so incredibly into the music. He looked like he was in heaven doing this job. The area they placed the wheelchairs and sign language in was at the far end of the theatre. Everyone entered as a big crowd which was scary as the walkway was not well lit.
5. Comedy Warehouse and Adventurers Club was awesome. It was hard realizing that I will never see this again. AC was full to the rafters but Jeff and Anna, the managers made sure I was able to get into the show and I enjoyed it a lot.
