Weekend nights-cash?

We are planning our next trip for February 5-11 at VWL in a one or two bedroom. We are trying not to use points for our Saturday night stay. How does it work if you pay cash one night? Can you keep the same unit? Or is it better, since we are passholders, to get a hotel room there and have them move our luggage to our unit the next day? Do they even do that?

If you book a cash night through member services (25% off if available), they will treat it as an extension of your points stay and you will be guaranteed not to move. Your keys and parking permit will be for the entire stay, including the cash night.

If you book a room with CRO, they will try to keep you in the same room. You will have to check out and check back in. You do not get member benefits for that night (35 cent phone calls) but you do get full housekeeping. I did this last month at OKW and it worked great, I got 30% off with an AP rate.

If you book a hotel room at WL, they will move your luggage.
