Hi DISers so I have booked the weekend cruise on the Magic for August DH is hesistant because he says its a waste of money for 2 days :sad2: I say I have never done a Disney Cruise or any other cruise and this will be I guess a taste of the Disney cruise, so we are going back and forth with it since we are not going to Disney this year I figured my girls would have a blast. For those of you that have done this cruise is it worth it, and if I decide to keep it what would you absolutely do on the ship? what would you avoid I just want my girls to experience atleast a lil bit of it and get the most out of it since it is such a short cruise PLEASE give me your suggestions thank you so much :goodvibes

A girl on the PTR report boards just returned from a weekend on the magic. She started the TR for it (its within her PTR for another upcoming trip). Jenny105 is her screen name. Maybe she can give you a first hand account.

We're looking forward to the July weekend cruise ourselves- we're going to be there anyway, and it will help us to celebrate our anniversary in a different way.

It's not going to be our first cruise, but we're planning on having a blast!!

wow happy Anniversary!! we have a 9C category on the ship have no idea if its good or not :confused3 all I know its $2000+ and DH is not liking that part for a 2 day cruise I have until tonight to decide, I really want to go especially since Disney cruise won't be here next year I hear they are going to be calling Spain home for a while...

We have an 11B stateroom booked- I know, but it's just the 2 of us and it's only two nights. But we didn't count on the Magic being available when we started planning our trip, and we were really lucky!

I hope that you're able to go on a DCL cruise, no matter when it is. Good luck to you- and I know that you'll be looking forward to your cruise when it happens.

We are also booked on the August 10th cruise to nowhere. Neither DH nor myself have ever cruised before so we thought this would be a good chance for us to "get our feet wet" so to speak and see if we like cruising since we have a Fantasy cruise booked for 2013. That said, I wouldn't pay $2000+ for a 2-night cruise. We paid no where near that, but we also booked the first day prices were released and just the two us are sailing - no kids. For $2000+ you could probably take a short 4 or 5 day trip to WDW. There have been some reviews about the first 2-night sailing over on the cruise board. You might want to look over there and see what people are saying.

Good luck with your decision!

disny_luvr thats exactly what DH says too, we have actually done Disney for less I guess I just thought it would be a good experience since we have never cruised thanks for the input, yes I have gone over to the DCL board and they LOVE to cruise and i'm sure didnt pay what this 2 nighter is costing us I think I will just let it go thanks again ....

Our first cruise was a DCL 3 nighter to the Bahamas. We liked it, but found it way too short. Our future cruises have been with NCL - much cheaper, and a week long.
