Weekend before Christmas - crazy?

I saw the news that this would be the last year for the Osbourne lights and immediately booked the weekend before Christmas. I know that's a very busy weekend in the parks, and I hate crowds, but it's our only open weekend and our last chance for the lights.

So some questions -
How crazy am I?
How soon will the last night of MVMCP sell out?
How impossible will it be to get into the LTT that weekend?
Are there other 'special' dinning options?

We've always said we'd do a Christmas trip 'someday' with the lights going away, someday has to be now. Ack!

We visited last year, it gets busier the closer you get to Xmas.

Im sure you'll have a wonderful time, there are so many holiday events and stuff going on that it will be a very different, unforgettable trip!

We went just before Christmas last year, and while it was definitely "busy", I wouldn't say it was "crazy busy". It was actually less crowded than spring break, but more crowded than summer. It's easily manageable though if you plan and take advantage of FP. We still had a great time and would love to go back that same week someday!

If you are crazy then so am I cause I'm going the same time. Didn't know about the lights at the time I booked, I was just trying to schedule around my DS college schedule, his birthday is in Dec. but he will still be in school and UGA has gotten down right picky about attendance so he can't take the week off. His last final is Dec. 17th so, 19th through 24th it was. Sigh, even missed one day of discounts on the resort but what's a mom to do, at least got some discount for the previous days.
