This board helped me so much with our last trip that I decided to come out of "lurker" status this time around! I just booked us for the week of Nov 26 - Dec 4. I am hoping that the weekdays will be pretty empty but was wondering how Nov 26 and Nov 27 would be? Any thoughts?

we will be taking our honeymoon that week also was woundering the same thing the first two day we will be in hour rooms ;)

DH and I were there last year from the day after Thanksgiving for 11 nights. It was extremenly crowded the entire time. Since this was our first time at this time of year I have nothing to compare it with. The problem was supposed to me that there was several conventions going on and the hotels were all filled as well as the parks. It was almost impossible to get PS that were not established before leaving. I would suggest that you make your PS's and cancel if need be. I was sure glad I had. I did try and change one and had no luck unless I wanted to eat after 9:00 PM.
All in all it was doable and I am doing it again this year for the same period of time with a friend and her children. I am wishing for lower attendance this year.

We went on the Sunday and Monday after Thanksgiving in 2001, and it was not crowded at all. I'm not sure how the Friday and Saturday would be, but I would expect busy. We waited until Sunday figuring most Thanksgiving vacationers would be heading home, and we were right. But, with all the Christmas decorations up, it's worth it.

We were there the same time as padisneylover and thought totally different. Of course, the crowds were slightly heavier on Fri. and Sat, but compared to spring break, they seemed light to us.

Will be there the same time this year.

I agree with sanilacjack... compared to the crowds during the spring...it's a piece of cake! Just plan ahead! ;)

We enjoyed it so much, we are going back the same time this year!

Just be prepared for any kind of weather! I knew it may be cold, but not as bad as it was! We needed coats, mittens and hats! It was freezing! :(

I was there this year from the day after Thanksgiving through Wednesday and then went over to Universal. It was so not busy. I normally go in the summer time, and it was nowhere as close to being that busy. I saw completely empty sections at Fantasmic the day after T-day. It was for the second showing, but I have never gone and not had to stand (not willing to sit for an hour for a seat). Sure Epcot was busy on Saturday, but that park handles crowds well during the day. MK was not that busy on Sunday. I don't think that we used Fastpass more than one or twice and that was only so we could ride Space Mountain 3 times in a row without waiting.

Universal was dead as well. How often can you walk directly onto the Hulk with no wait? It was basically how fast you can walk through the lines is how fast you could get on the rides.

Basically, the crowds go home on Sunday. I agree with the extra clothes. It was okay during the day so we just brought jeans and sweatshirts and rented a locker. Once the sun went down, the pants had to come on.

We will be there Nov. 25 through Dec. 4. We don't plan on going to any of the parks until Sunday though. We will be doing Discovery Cove on Friday (since it is limited admission we figured it would be ok - of course we may freeze) and then SeaWorld on Saturday since it is mostly shows.
