Week of May 23 to May 28-crowded?!?!

I'm scared guys and gals. We usually go to WDW in Dec. when the weather is cooler and it's not that crowded. (Although, Dec. 2003 for MVMCP, it was pretty crowded!)

We're heading back down to WDW May 23 to May 28 (No weekends-just Mon.-Fri.) but I'm worried about the crowds! I've read some horror posts about Spring Break crowds and the hour long lines, I know Spring Break is over, but...it's the week right before Memorial Day...any ideas?

If the parks get too crowded, I guess we can go back to the resorts...enjoy the pool...but if that's crowded too then...we're...out of luck.

Any idea how the attendence is during that week? Thanks!

Oh, gosh-not too crowded, I hope! We'll be there, too. Last year we went roughly the same time (5/25-5/31). OKW (where we stayed) seemed pretty crowded, surprisingly, but the parks weren't bad at all. Did Epcot around the weekend, and saved MK until closer to mid-week. I learned my lesson the previous year-went to MK on a Sunday and I literally couldn't walk through Fantasyland-wall to wall people, total gridlock. Last year wasn't near that bad. Can't comment on buses since we mainly used our car. Got reservations at Teppenyaki with only 2 days notice. Didn't even try CRT!

You'll be fine. Been to WDW that week the last two years and attendance doesn't get bad during that week until Saturday because most kids are still in school. The weather will be warm, but as long as it stays under 90 (about a 75% chance of that happening) it is actually quite pleasent.

We have been there twice that time of year and I thought the crowds were moderate. They are tolerable and if you use fastpass there is NO problem. It can get hot though so drink lots of water and buy a couple of mister fans.

We were in the parks last summer the first few days of June and I thought the crowds were very manageable, not bad at all. Do the big rides in the early a.m. and beware of frequent rain in the afternoons. It rained everyday last summer. We're heading to WDW on May 28th this year for a week. The earlier in the summer, the better. July and August are the worst for heat and crowds.

We arrive the 21 - 28th! Been there during the 3rd week of May except once in Oct. Loved it. Moderate crowds, waiting and heat. We did use the fans with the mist a couple of days, and it rained on/off, but overall- a perfect time to go!

The weekends do seem to be busier, but hey, its WDW, and usually everyone is in the spirit! We'll have lime ribbons, mm Home Depot heads and anything else I can find - maybe we'll see ya'll there!

Last year we were there the week before Memorial Day. We left on friday to avoid the holiday crowds. It was very nice during the week, don't remember any long lines. It was hot, but that's what we go for. I do remember sitting outside AKL waiting for our driver and watching the hords of people checking in Friday night. The hotel was filled to capacity for the weekend.

I certainly am hoping for nice weather and hopefully decent crowds as I will be there too May 23rd to 30th! We have had our trip planned since the first week of January, so now it seems to be getting very close!

Anyone know which parks are the "park of the day" for the DVC Homecoming 5/25-27? I wnat to try and avoid those parks on those days. We're only going for 2 days this trip, and I'd hate to end up in a crawded park and ahve to waster precious time heading to another.

You can buy the mister fan at Wal-Mart. It is a lot cheaper.

We'll be there too! Little worried about the heat but hopefully we can handle it. Have been in early May and it was quite warm then!
