My family is going to Disney March 3-5, it was a last minute thing, so we are only trying to make dinner reservations now. But things are CRAZY booked. We cant get into anything we wanted. The crowd calender puts things at only a 4/10 this week and I checked out reservations for the next week when the crowd is supposed to be at an 8/10 and there are way more the next week. That makes no sense.

What gives?! Is something going on that week that I dont know about?

Mardi Gras, for which I think Louisiana schools are on break. Also, the beginning of Star Wars weekends at Hollywood Studios, and Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot.

So ya think it'll be way more crowded than the predictions say? I find it odd that there are so many more the next week which is when spring break season actually starts

We had the choice to go 3/1-3/5 or 3/5-3/9. I initially chose that first weekend because I figured it would be less crowded. When I booked, Touring Plans had the first weekend crowds predicted much higher than the second, and then a short lull before the 3rd weekend/start of Spring Break season. I don't think there is any such thing as a "slow" time anymore...just a "slower" time.
