Week before Thanksgiving?

I have heard that the weekend before Thanksgiving is a good time to go to WDW, as far as low crowds. Is this true? What about the Mon.-Wed. right before Thanksgiving day? Do the crowds pick up from people that take a few days off before Thanksgiving day? Thanks.

Arrived last year on Friday before Thanksgiving. Crowds not bad at all right up until about Wednesday. Thanksgiving Day and the 3 days following are pretty busy, but not as bad as Christmas. The weather is normally great and the holiday decorations are going up. I would not hesitate to visit that week again. This year, we'll be in Disneyland Paris for Thanksgiving Day and the two days after. The weather will be about 45 to 50 degrees, a far cry from the warm Orlando temps!

That is great news about Thanksgiving week We are planning a trip Thanksgiving week 2007..2.5 years away..but I just think of the money I will be saving to get there

We arrived the Sunday before Thanksgiving in 2004 and, as a previous poster described, it was great, with few minimal until Wednesday.

The weather can be problematic -- my wife wore her down coat for the Segway tour one morning, and in our pictures, we look like Eskimos! -- but it really is a very good time to visit. As an added bonus: the Christmas decorations are up! And the Osborn Lights usually begin that week, too.
