Week before Thanksgiving?

I have heard that the weekend before Thanksgiving is a good time to go, as far as low crowds. Is this true? What about the Mon.-Wed. right before Thanksgiving Thurs.? Do the crowds pick up from people that take a few days off before Thanksgiving day? Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

With each day closer to Thanksgiving, the crowds get bigger. And crowds are always bigger on weekends during the school year than on weekdays.

If you have any flexibility and can go the week before Thanksgiving, crowds will be MUCH lighter.

We've been there twice the full week before Thanksgiving but left the Saturday before the holiday. Crowds were low, weather great and most if not all of the Christmas decorations were up. Its our favorite time plus both DH and I have birthdays that week. We're going again this year.
