If anyone is still looking to do some shopping...Disney Store has 40% off a lot of stuff and free shipping over $75. Ordered some stuff for the trip! Good deals with the 40% off.

Also, looked for cheap throwaway ponchos today and no luck. Grrrrrr! Have to have em for Kali River!

I found throw away ponchos at Dollar Tree and Walmart last year. I'm lame and use one for Splash

I found nicer reusable ones at Walmart too. I brought them just in case because the forecast looked terrible. But luckily we ended up not needing them. I might go back and get some for this trip just in case!

Thanks. I will check those places too. At least the weather this time of year usually doesn't have a lot of rain so that's a bonus. But you never know when an occasional storm may pop up. And for the wet rides too!

I'm SUPER fancy and just glitter-fying my mickey head on the bands with glitter nail polish. I did make some vinyl mickey heads to stick on them but I tried one on an old band first and it didn't stick SUPER well because of the contours on the heads...I'm sure the etsy sellers have it perfected though!

Thanks! It was a long day but luckily we have a great group of riders who are so encouraging to each other! Makes a huge difference.

So completely switching subjects....Do you guys think I'm completely missing the boat by NOT having the extra set of bands for SDFP??? Do you guys all have them? For those that do, how much do you use them? I read the thread on them awhile back but I just wasn't sure how much my family would use them? Any thoughts pro or con appreciated!

We have a set, but only because I made a new MDE for this reservation after reading the thread last year I wouldn't have bought bands just for this purpose though (no judging those that have!)

That said, I definitely will be using them!

No extra bands here but I can see how they could be very nice to have!

I have 4 bands from last trip, plus 1 from this trip that is for my under 3yo so his can be used. Plus an old card that had a magic quest admission ticket on it from last year that I *Think* will work as well.

I mostly plan to use them at DHS for RnR since we used our tier 1 on TSMM. Plus additional ToT will be great since thats my 7yo'S favorite.

At MK there are a TON of FP rides. Things like jungle cruise, pooh, pirates will have longish waits late afternoon/early evening so I'll hopefully snag those with the SDFP.

EPcot isn't going to be hugely helpful since we already can split TT and Soarin using baby swap. And I have a FEA for another day. If nothing else maybe we can grab them for character spot and figment haha!

AK we will probably grab extra EE and maybe a Kali if the big kid seems interested. But we should be good with just our original 3 there I'm sure!

We will have our main MB, a set of SDFP bands and a set of cards to use for SDFP.

I'll be working on touring plans this week to figure out which attractions to use them for. In MK most likely for Buzz, Space, Pirates, jungle Cruise and BTM. Epcot possibility a second tier 1 or Illuminations. DHS RNC and TOT. AK- EE and character spot, maybe nemo

According to the Guide Map for MVMCP it looks like BTMR won't be open during the party. Does anyone think it is possible it will be open on party nights once it is out of refurb? I was hoping to ride it at night during the party...

We plan to use our MVMCP cards for SDFP at most parks. I probably wouldn't have bothered to buy extra magic bands to do it though, but I seem to be throwing caution to the wind with this trip, so who knows!

Oh, I think so! That's a big one not to be opened during the party. It always has been on the past. I bet it's just because it's on refurb right now.

That's how my DH feels too. I think I would have been on board with trying it if he was, but he thinks it's complicating things. He said, "I just want to enjoy the parks, not run around for fps!" I get it.
