Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

We're telling the kids on Wednesday! Eep!! My friend who is going the same week we are is coming over, we're going to have a BBQ and do the announcement. We still haven't decided how to tell them!

Good luck with your announcement. I hope they are surprised! We told our girls back in May so that they could give some input into our restaurant choices. I wanted to do a big surprise, but our schedule was super crazy in May and I was afraid I wouldn't find a good time to tell them. I ended up making homemade rice crispy treats cut into Mickey heads (bought that cookie cutter on a previous trip). I placed all of the treats on a tray along with the reservation book that Disney had sent us. After a school concert that night the girls came home and of course were asking for a treat. I told them we had a special one and brought out the tray. My oldest was suspicious since dad was holding on to a video camera when I brought it out. The funniest part was when I said treat, our little dog thought it was for him so he kept jumping up and trying to get the tray of goodies.

I got a text from TP res finder for BOG lunch on 12/2 and snagged it, then Realized it was the wrong day! Oops.

Anyone need BOG lunch for 4 on 12/2? It's 12:55.

We are planning on Monday at HS... with rope drop for JTA. I don't want to deal with this!

For MK all reports said the crowds for EMM were so small they really had no noticeable impact on regular park attendees those days. JTA seems to be the one thing that could conceivably be messed up by EMM though. It's not on my radar because my kids aren't interested, but for those who do want to do it and especially if you were hoping for a prime time slot, well... yuck!

Well, I'll be shocked if EMM does half as well at DHS as it did at MK, unless desperate parents purchase tickets specifically because of JTA. Anyway, my hope is that it won't last past the initial run through September.

I don't know if this is old news but we were at Target yesterday and they had a whole bunch of really cheap clearance Disney shirts in kid sizes! I didn't have a chance to check adult sizes. The shirts were not only on clearance but there's a Cartwheel coupon for 20% off kids' clothes - we got kids' shirts for $3.50 and $5!

Whenever DH considers post transfers that are open in the state I'm like "is there a Target within 20 minutes? No? Off the list!"

That stinks. We found some on the clearance racks and some mixed in with the regular licensed shirts in the kids' departments, if that helps. This Target was kind of out of the way though so maybe we just got lucky.

I stopped in at my target too and they didnt have any in my kid's sizes darnit. But I did find some lego minifigs. I now have 3 Mr. Incredibles because I'm terrible at feeling up the packages lol

At least Mr. Incredible is awesome! I was terrible at it too. I was hoping for Peter Pan and Captain Hook, but got Minnie and the Genie. My Target hasn't had them in stock at all. I got those two at Five Below. Haven't found any since.

If you have a Toys R Us call them - they almost always have a box by the registers at mine and said they are told to keep them there to limit stealing.
