How seriously do people using crowd calendars regard the 'red' days. I slotted Epcot in for Friday 12/2 but it's red even though it's not an EMH park that day...is that a mistake? I'm starting to doubt everything! Panic!

I avoided them last year and thought crowds were manageable. I have nothing to compare it to though since that was my first visit since the 90s haha!

Touringplans lists Epcot 12/2 as a 2/10.

Just a quick glance at the UT crowd calendar, though that's more comparative between parks than versus any other day in the calendar. I know, it's silly.

I have a question for all of you who will be there the same time as my BFF, Nancy, and i are coming down again. She has told me for years that every one else that was there while we were, came from New Jersey. I have no clue where she came up with this, but after starting up conversations with other guests in past trips, it did seem like a LOT of people were from New Jersey.

So...a little casual research here...how many other folks on this thread are from NJ?

My ADR day is tomorrow!!!

So of course I had to flip some things around today.

We're back to doing MK on Sunday, December 4 (had switched it to AK).

Here's what we're hoping for:

11/28 - Arrival day!
11/29 - MK + MVMCP (if we can afford it)
---No ADR's this day unless we do a late breakfast at CP
11/30 - Epcot (hop to MK for Wishes if MVMCP doesn't work out)
--- Garden Grill breakfast (last seating, hopefully)
12/1 - DHS
--- Boma breakfast around 10:00
--- Minnie's Holiday Dine at H & V around 5 if possible (otherwise do that breakfast at CP on day 1)
12/2 - AK
--- Sanaa @ 5
12/3 - Break day + DHS (myself & the 2 teens might rope drop DHS followed by whatever)
--- No ADR's
12/4 - MK (MVMCP that we won't attend)
--- PPO Crystal Palace (or last seating of breakfast if PPO is unavailable)
--- Whispering Canyon around 6:30 pm
12/5 - Epcot
--- Captain's Grille breakfast (late seating, around 11)
--- Via Napoli or Tutto Italia
12/6 - AK
--- PPO Tusker House
12/7 - Leave

I would have a back up for Minnie's holiday dine. My ADR was today and the only time I could get was a 3:20 on 12/1 :/

Yeah, that's the one I'm worried about the most. It's pretty low on our list of priorities so I think we'll be okay without it. It was just a convenient one to do while at DHS and it looked better than the Disney Jr. breakfast and lunch as far as character appeal.

On a positive note, I think we'll have enough Disney Rewards built up to come pretty close to paying for our MVMCP by the time we go! It should cover at least 2/3-3/4 of the cost.

We have enough rewards to at least cover Memorymaker!!

I also just looked and realized I booked some stuff for early November instead of early December! So annoying to keep going back and forth between late November and early December when you're using the little spinny things on the app! Plus now I have to re-jigger for stuff on those early December dates that I missed!

I wonder why 12/1 seems the most popular night for holiday dine that week? Can't quite figure out the reason. I snagged slightly better times for it Monday and Tuesday night but Thursday is really the night I'm leaning towards, so I guess we're having dinner at 4:55.


Yay for Disney rewards, I'm at just about $600 right now, goal is to have $1000 for the trip. Guess I need to go shopping

I knew Minnie's Seasonal Dine would be the hardest one, and it was. I ended up getting it for a day we're supposed to be at Epcot. I'll have to see after the crowd calendars come out if I think it's worth shifting my plans. I think more will open up when they release their Fantasmic! packages for December. Maybe I can snag one of those. Is there a F! package watch thread I could follow? Any tips for keeping track of when those are released?

The other difficult one for me was Garden Grill breakfast. I wanted a 10:30 on 11/30 but there were no times available. I've set up a reservation finder with touring plans. I'm sure something will open up between now and then.

The website worked fine for me, which was a pleasant surprise! It sure feels good having some reservations made. Now I can spend the next six months changing my plans over and over!

Michigan here but Jersey week is a thing at Disney, usually around some teaching conference I think? It's early November this year!
