Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Just got a notification from Disney they will close tonight at 5pm until Friday. Feel so bad for everyone there. Hopefully Disney finds a way to help them all make the best of it.

I think with the impending storm that Disney is in shut down mode. I was trying to cancel an ADR online and it says unavailable (just for CP package) and when I tried to call I get a prompt that all circuits are busy...

Their website was running incredibly slow. They are getting inundated with calls right now...I'm reading a 3+ hour wait on hold. People are trying to cancel and reschedule because of the hurricane.

Hi new to the thread, but I calied Disney twice within the last two hours and got right on with a real person. Their website is running slow, but not any more of a pain in the **** than usual. Anyway I have a few Akershus reservations 11/28 - 30th all lunch times, im looking to trade for a BOG or CRT. I know, good luck, right? But I at least have to try.

I just wanted to post that I've read a bunch of your group's posts on here and you all seem so nice and positive to each other. Unlike on some other threads... we are going the same time, arrive on Thanksgiving and staying through the following weekend. I check back here often for the good information!

In reference to the bolded part....that's the 2nd time I've read that lately on one of the treads I frequent! Makes me not want to venture out into the whole wide world of the DIS because it sounds scary and I'm fragile.

Was it a TP alert? I've heard of instances where it found the ADR much earlier than you get the notification. I don't know if that's common or not. I haven't gotten a TP alert in a long time, and I have 4 searches set up.

Yes, it was an alert. I got an alert a few days ago and was able to grab that reservation easily. The texts seem to come right away, but the emails come about 10-15 minutes after the reservation is found.

Ah I see! And maybe what I am remembering have read was when the TP alerts were screwy for a while a little bit ago. I just went and updated my TP alerts and checked to see they were all still looking. Fingers crossed I can get something soon to firm up some of my messy days.

Ahh this explains why I haven't been getting any of my adrs through tp! I only get emails since TP only texts to US numbers. Booo...

Sorry I didnt properly introduce myself before, so here goes. My name is Michelle, coming to florida (i hope there's something to come to after this weekend) to visit my mom and her new house (hope they built it well) in Punta Vedra and heading to Disney 11/27 - 11/30. Bringing my partner and our two DD's(age 5 and 3 months). We are staying at AoA in a Little Mermaid room (still trying to figure what location we want, any recs would be helpful) We have several ADR's, but wasnt able to snag the crowing glory (CRT). We did however get a BOG PPO BF and a Cinderella's dinner @ 1900 park fare, so I should be fairly satisfied, but I'm not.

Anyway, I have read through most of this thread and you all seem very cordial and friendly and I know we are coming in late to the party, but hopefully I'll fit right in.

Well I'm not sure your dates, but I have one on Friday Dec 2nd at 11:35 and am looking for one on Sat Dec 3rd or Thurs Dec 1st...
