Is it slow during this time of the year? We have gone twice on the second week of December and it was alot more crowded than we thought it was going to be last year so we're trying the week after Thanksgiving. Any opinions? :sunny:

We were there last year the week after Thanksgiving - it was fantastic. The Sunday after was still a bit busy, but you could literally see the crowds thinning out by that late afternoon and evening, and the rest of the week, everything was a walk-on.

That is GREAT to hear!! :thumbsup2 Thanks so much! We're arriving Saturday evening but not going to any parks until Monday so that'll be wonderful!

The week after Thanksgiving has always been wonderful when we went. Especially compared to the week of Thanksgiving. Sunday is thinning out and Mon on is wonderful. I will however say that this past year 2005, was our first ever Summer trip to WDW. I was really scared. It turned out to be wonderful and it wasn't that crowded in my opinion. Maybe my idea of not that busy or decently manageable is skewed? I know what it's like over Thanksgiving and that is busy. Or, maybe I've just perfected (after 11 years of going to WDW) our touring plan. As of late we don't do the Early or Late entries and it really works great for us. I think a lot of it is what park you pick, how you work the park, etc. Even in the slowest of seasons there is still a LOT of people at WDW, it's all relative to what you've experienced in the past.

We are going that week as well. We will get there Saturday and start the parks on Sunday. I hope it thins out fast on Sunday!!!

We are going the week after Thanksgiving too. I read in The Unofficial Guide that this was a good week so I am excited! I will definitely have something to be thankful for come Thanksgiving time.

With it being blazing hot here in GA and our trip being in fall, I have never been so ready for summer to be over with!!

I know what you mean. We've never been during a holiday week but we used to go in July and it was PACKED. This was pre-FastPass so everything had a huge line. Then we went in December of 2001 (with tourism being down after 9/11) and it was like a ghost town. It was dead. We were in shock! Now I think we got used to that and with tourism going dramatically back up since then it's never been like that again. It's all relative but the second week of December isn't what it used to be! I guess we're hoping the week after Thanksgiving is better than the second week of December as we noticed more people coming the second week of December and staying through Christmas, as it got more and more crowded every day it got closer to Christmas (we were there from Dec. 10th-17th). Of course we'll still have a great trip (but hopefully it won't be in the lower 50's and cloudy/rainy this time like it was last year)
