Week after Thanksgiving

We will be there too!!! :cool1: :cool1:

We are driving down the Saturday after Thanksgiving and starting the parks on Sunday. We did Halloween last year and are looking forward to the Christmas decorations this year. We are going to MVMCP on the 30th.

Are you all going to have your lime green mickey?????????????

We'll be there 11/28 - 12/2 staying at POR. I'm looking forward to seeing the Xmas decorations. DW is looking forward to the pretzel bread sticks at Le Cellier. DD22 is looking forward to the Epcot crawl, DS19 is looking forward to EE and DD24 with fiance is looking forward to just being there.

:woohoo: We will be there 11-22 to 12-3 splitting our stay between ASMo and AKL concierge :cool1: This is the first time we will be there this time of year....we usually go in August! It will be me and my four kids :thumbsup2

my boss always goes at this time, drives down Thanksgiving day... says it is great weather, good for swimming. Not really shorts for them but comfortable. crowds are very light and wonderful time to go. I've gone also right after Thanksgiving but only went once so far. it's hard for he and I both to get off the same week...darn it! but it is the best time to go!!! MVMCP is great too!!! they're usually there when the christmas parade is filmed

Count us in too! :wave2: We will be flying in on Thanksgiving and leaving on Dec 2nd. I can hardly wait, it will be our first time and I hope the crowds are low so we can do everything! :thumbsup2

Sure do - I'm just starting to plan our annual "Holidays with the Mouse" trip and it's looking like Dec. 1-5 for us. We always go in December, at least 1 week before Xmas, and crowds are always low. (Though it's hard to imagine with all of us saying we're going at that time, right?!) I only just discovered the DIS board, so it'll be fun looking for ya'll while we're there :)

As for weather, it's totally up in the air that time of year. We've had many Thanksgivings around 80 degrees, then went to WDW a week or two later and had nights in the teens. I always wait till the last minute to pack for Nov/Dec trips so I can see what the forecast will be. Of curse, 70 for us Flordians can mean wool sweaters and mittens. But I'm originally from Buffalo, NY: I remember wearing shorts and T's the moment it hit 50 in the spring!

We'll be arriving 11/25 and leaving on 12/2. DW, DS7, DS6, DD6 and myself. We're staying in a 2br @ OKW. We are so excited about being there during the Holiday Season. This is our first time to see the Christmas decorations. We're usually there in May, so really looking forward to the nicer temperatures. We're traveling with friends who are renting pionts to stay at OKW too. We're all pumped because we're doing the DDP. We have ADR's at a lot of places we've never been to before, so it should be a blast. Going to MVMCP on Tuesday the 28th.

We've heard so many great things about being there the week after Thanksgiving, so if it's half as good as everyone says it should be FANTASTIC!!!

I hope more people who have been this time of year keep posting. I love reading how nice it's going to be.

We will be there as well. I have seen it steadily become busier and busier every year when we go down and this year is going to be no exception.

I have heard the CR resort is booked full for that week.

I might have to find a new week to go ;)

We have been the week after Thanksgiving several times and it is our favorite time to visit WDW! The only problem I have with that week is packing. We have been when it was swimming suit weather and other times when it was literally freezing and you could not take off your coat. Most times a long-sleeved shirt will suffice. But, I do pack a little of both (heavier on the winter things).

You will love this time of year at WDW! We have always found the crowds light and the weather beautiful! The Christmas decorations are up and so pretty! Sadly we cannot visit this week anymore as the kids are out of elementary school and we can no longer pull them out for the week. :sad2:

Enjoy your trip! I will be wishing it was November/December next week while I'm there BURNING up!

I'll be at SSR from the 26th through the 29th. I have been going down to Florida that time of year for 6 years and the weather can be unpredictable. We've had 80 degree days and 60 degree days, so contingency packing is a must. I bring jeans and shorts because even if the days are warm the evenings get pretty cool once the sun goes down.

I'll be there too 11/19-12/2 with my DH, DS 6, and DD we will be celebrating her 2nd birthday (25th) and our anniversary (27th) on this trip. Staying at POR - Hoping to move to BW if AP rates come out. Cant wait

We'll be there from Nov 23-Dec 1, just bought our air yesterday! Got a great deal on Airtran for $523.00 for all 3 of us. We are celebrating our DD's 4th birthday (25) and will be staying at POP for 4 nights then switching to WL for the last 4 nights. Can't wait to see all the decorations and will be at MVMCP on the 30th! We usually go the 2nd week of December and stay at my folks timeshare (vacation village-parkway). They are also coming with us, along with my brother and aunt and uncle..all to celebrate Athena's birthday. They are all staying at Orange Lake CC.

Nov 26th-Dec 4th for us!! :cool1: Went the same time last year and loved it!! Taking my parents for their first trip-staying BWI Concierge in a deluxe room just like last year-can't wait!!!!! :cloud9:

Looks like there are going to be a lot of us there. We are arriving on the 25th and leaving on the 1st. There will be 18 of us for a couple days and then 16 the rest of the time. All the kids are girls (6 in total, all 5 and under), so it will be Princess themed, with the Princess meals all booked. Doing MVMCP on the 28th and have ADRs for dinner every night. Also doing the Grand Gathering Safari, so will post about that afterwards. Staying at the Beach Club. Look forward to seeing some of you there. If you see a large group walking around with a bunch of little girls, come up and say HI. Hopefully it will only be DIS people and the parks will not be that crowded, but I am starting to think more and more people are changing their times to the old less crowded times and causing some larger than normal crowds.

We have been there at this time before and it was nice and empty, but I am starting to get worried with all the postings. Although as DW said, we have all our reservations, so who cares if it is a little more crowded than usual. We shall see what she says when we are waiting more than 5 minutes for a ride.

We have been twice the week before and the week of Thanksigving. It gets croweded crowded fast. YOU WILL HAVE THE BEST TIME the week after...big time. The crowds will slowly fade a day or two after Thanksgiving weekend and the decorations are beautiful. You picked a fantastic time to go. One Thanksgiving we were pretty cold a couple of nights.....light jackets in the mornings but a couple of times carpris and short sleeves were perfect. It is a mixed bag that time of year. The kids did swim in the heated pools but we didn't do a water park.

 Hi to all my fellow week after Thanksgiving-ers!! It was fun to see my thread from way back brought back to life!

We too are a big group- 8 of us total celebrating 3 birthdays on our trip! :cake: :bday: :cake:

Mine is the 28th (doing CP at Le Cellier that night- hurry up and release those packages! ), My SIL is 11/25 (50's Prime Time :happytv: for her!) and her daughter turns 2 on 12/2 (Dinner with Pooh and Friends at CP for my Eeyore :eeyore: loving niece!!)

If you see a big group walking around in matching T Shirts say hi!!

We're trying to decide whether to go right after Thanksgiving or the 1st or 2nd week in December. We've only been there once, this past May and would love to go in 2007 to see the Christmas decorations. Have any of you gone at both the times, late Nov. and early Dec? If si is there much difference in crowds or SW DING airfare???

You can add us to the growing list :thumbsup2

Nov 25th - Dec 2nd at Contemporary
MVMCP Nov 30th

This will be our 5th year going this week and we just LOVE it. The crowds have grown each year as the word gets out but still a beautiful time of year to go and lower crowd levels.
