My family and I are leaving the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as crowd levels and weather.

It's awesome! We've always gone late April, early May....oh, and Oct. But mostly April. After this last trip when we arrived the Monday after Thanksgiving...I am TOTALLY spoiled. It was our best trip yet. Great weather for touring...still ok for swimming. Cooler nights required a lite jacket but we lucked out and it never got really cold. The crowds...what crowds. We hardly used FP at all. Everything was a walk on. It was just wonderful!!! :thumbsup2

Nope we'll be ther all 6 of us!!! and...I think Pop Warner :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :guilty:

We've arrived that very same day for the last three years in a row. It is less crowded than at other times we've been, but each year it seems to get a little more busy. That Sunday and even Monday will be busier then the rest of the week, but we were pretty much able to either get ADR's for the same day or walk into most of the restaurants without any problems. Wait times for all the big attractions aren't bad either. The weather is great (can get chilly at night) but all the decorations will be up and it's gorgeous!!!
Have a great time!!!
I believe Pop Warner arrives that following weekend. We stay through Friday and have never encountered them.

we went to WDW last year at this time and the crowds were light. yes the pop werner familys were there but we didn't really notice them. i think the longest line we waited in was maybe 20-30 minutes. the fantasmic crowds were there. we went to 2 MVMCP and the crowds on sunday were better then on tuesday. only days we noticed larger crowds were on the weekends. but i guess this is normal. we loved there with all of the christmas decorations. as for weather we had 1 day above 78 and most night we needed a light jacket. if you are from a part of the world were it's cold during the winter them the weather in florida.

That is our favorite time to go! We have gone twice that week and the crowds were low...the decorations were beautiful...the weather was great. If I didn't have to pull all the kiddos out of school for a whole week...I would always go then! :thumbsup2

It is one of the best times of year to go!!! Low crowds although weather can be unpredictable. I've worn shorts and I've also worn sweaters. We are usually there either before Tday and stay until Sunday or we go to Tday and stay after and after is much better. The Monday and onwards after Tday is fabulous! Wish I were going, too!

Weather is unpredictable. We have gone down with shorts and other times with sweaters and pants. Even gloves at MVMCP.

So its iffy.

As to crowds, well it seems to steady get busier and busier every year.

I agree about the weather. I would plan to carry something for mornings and evenings at least. We are 'fleece addicts' :teeth: so we always just carried a backpack with some raingear and a fleece for everyone. We never had cold enough weather for gloves  but we did 'snuggle' during Illuminations a couple of times :grouphug:
