Week after July 4

In 2004, we went the week after July 4 and although it was crowded, it did not seem too bad, particularly at MK. We are thinking of going the same time this year. Anybody else experience this (maybe slight ) lull in crowds during this period?

Us. We went July 13 - 20, 2005 and it was very doable as long as you got to the parks early (we usually got there about 9:15) and used Fastpass at every opportunity. Our first full day in the parks was Thursday, July 14 and when we got to Fantasyland it was practically deserted. We rode everything in Fantasyland, except Pooh, which we fastpassed, in a five-minute wait or less.
