Went to the Disney Store this am and arrived at 7am. Second person there. By 7:30 there were six of us waiting. Around 8:30 the Pin Piggies arrived. They gave out numbers at our store this time and it worked well. Everyone got there pins that arrived before opening but if you weren't there then you are out of luck. There are none left. Had to get pins and then go back if you were going to shop but that was fine. Got the new Mickey flag shirt! Awesome.

Thanks to all who offered to help last week. DIS is super.

Most of this is a copy from another thread.

Mike & I were the first at the Tysons Corner Store at 8:00, joined by a another at about 8:30. By the time the store opened at 10:00 there was a long line. The store had only 6 of the Davy Crocket pins (wasn't there some kind of problem with DC last time?) and 24 of the others. Limited to 2 per person. They had the pins behind the counter. The CM's made it very clear that they didn't want anyone handing out numbers - so we didn't. The Pentagon store is still putting the pins on the racks, although Springfield said that they would be behind the counters. Not sure how the Dulles Town Center is handling them, but heard they did have left overs last week.

Today is their Grand Re- Opening with lollypops for the first 500 guests, and Mickey & Goofy appearing from noon to 4. Pooh & Tigger will be there tomorow - same hours.

Thanks for the update of the VA stores. We hit them sometimes too. I can't believe Tysons only had 24 of the pins. Most stores in the area are getting 48. Our stores in the MD areas (Frederick, Glen Burnie) also only got 7 Davy pins, but also a shortage of Jasmin pins. My husband will stop by the Dulles store on the way home from the Disney Outlet tonight to check to see what they have left. We plan to go to the Tysons store on Sunday. Not that we are Pooh and Tigger fans, but want to check out the new store and take at look at the new Donald Duck WDCC piece this weekend.

Our manager had gotten permission to give out numbers from her supervisors because of problems in the past. Pin Piggies were very much piggies in the past.

The WDCC Donald Duck event figurine is awesome! Did you know you get a video and a pin with him? Gotta love that duck! I swore, no more WDCC this year, and look, had to have little nephews Halloween, Tramp and Christmas tree, event piece.....ouch....no more WDCC for me, I've busted the bank.

I go to the Dulles towncenter DS store and there were plenty Snow White, Buzz and Woody, Absent-minded Professor, and Pinocchio pins left over from last week.. When I left the store there were plenty of other pins from this week we well. When I got to the DS at 9:45 there were about 10 or more people in line and everyone who was inline got what they wanted. Dulles isnt giving out numbers because everyone lines up and follows everyone in an orderly fashion. Hope that helps some :)

(This is copied from another message thread)

I was first in line yesterday (a first for me!) and I think our store got all the pins as usual. Everybody was very cooperative as usual - definitely has to do with all the very wonderful CMs in line with us!

After my stop here I went to Columbia Mall which by 11:00 was down to only two pins from this week's series. This store is definitely getting more popular every week! I really wanted one more Fantasia poster pin since I am giving my second Fantasia pin to someone who couldn't stand in line this week.

I also bought several Winnie the Pooh's 75th Anniversary series pins, Snow White Gallery pins, and Dumbo series pins since my local store doesn't carry these at all.

Maybe some of this week's pins aren't as attractive as last week's and I'll agree that Fantasia does look washed out but I do enjoy collecting the series and seeing other pin collectors every week again.

And...in six days it all begins again......!

I wish my TDS would hand out numbers. IMHO it can help curtail any Pin Piggies from getting out of hand via butting in line.

I can give an update from 42nd Street in New York City.

I've been there for the first few weekends (was this weekend 3 or 4? I'm getting confused!) The first weekend, I was the only one there when the store opened. I felt like a complete idiot, since I got there at 8:30 AM! New York City has many Ebay-sharks and I wanted to make sure I got Pin #1, which I did, so I guess it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Last weekend, I happened to be on 42nd Street and stopped by at around noon. All of the pins were gone, but I did manage to find the White Rabbit, which was the only one I wanted anyway. I stopped by TDS on 5th Avenue over the week and got both of the movie poster pins that I didn't buy the first time. They had a few of the other ones as well, and I decided I didn't miss much. My goal is not to collect all of them, just the ones I like.

This weekend, I was again on 42nd Street so I stopped by. The pins were behind the counter, 2 per customer. I bought Fantasia and Pooh and Tigger. I'm glad they are now controlling the amount of pins they sell to each person. Even if an Ebay-shark came with the entire family, there still should be enough for the next person on line.

And that's that ...

I went to the Staten Island store again this weekend. I got there about 9:20 and there were 9 people ahead of me. They were limiting everyone to 1 of each pin. They only had 10 complete sets, so thank goodness I got there when I did. Needless to say, people from number 11 on down the line were not too happy. The person handing out numbers had written on each slip of paper which pins that number would be getting, so people were using their cell phones to call people at other stores to see if they could get the missing pins for them. Some people were calling the store in Orlando to order the missing pins. I guess I'm going to have to start getting up earlier on Saturdays. At least I get an early start on all my errands!
