Week 3 - Your Assignment, Should You Choose To Accept It

SonyaM that is a fantastic shot, I agree with Andy that you should get this framed.
Andy love the water drop shot, I never saw it posted before, it sure came out great :thumbsup2
Here's one I did last week, it's tree sap.

This one is from about a month ago, but it's the newest reflection photo I've got. I'm going to try to get out this weekend and take some new ones.

From the Sheikh Zayed mosque in Abu Dhabi:

Okay- this one is from last Saturday night waiting for Wishes- so I guess it did not make the assignment- but I love the Mickey reflection in her EYES. Thought I would share it.

See...that's why I added the line in the instructions this week about looking at the upcoming themes ahead of time. That way, you could have just said, "Knowing this theme was coming up, check out this." ;)

Great shots so far, ev1.

Question...Do you guys like running this Monday to Monday, or would you rather have it start at some other time? I've thought about doing it later in the week. That way the "assignment" is fresh in our minds when the weekend comes around and we may have some spare time to actually get out and shoot.

So...what do you guys think? Should we keep it Monday to Monday?

Oh, yes, please. I want to participate, but don't always have time during the week to get photos. If it goes over the weekend, it gives us more time to get some shots.

No, what I meant was, we could start it later in the week, and run it from, say, Thursday to Thursday. :teeth:

That might be good- mid-week to mid-week- sometimes I take pictures over the weekend but don't have time to post until weeknights.

The following two were taken at Longwood Gardens on Monday:

I would like it to start closer to the weekend, so it's fresh in my mind.

This is from my car's windshield. I wanted to capture the street in front of it while waiting for my son to finish baseball practice.

We went to a wedding yesterday, and the bride and groom left in a vintage Packard. I hadn't planned on getting a reflection shot, but when I uploaded my shots this morning, viola! Taken with my S3 IS on Program mode.

Grille - notice the clouds reflected in the shiny black finish:

And just in case any of you are car buffs, here's the dashboard (not a reflection shot, but just FYI):

I had a few reflective photos taken this week - not directly for this particular project, but I was asked to add them to the thread since they fit, so here they are. :thumbsup2

All taken at the TPC @ Sawgrass this past week, site of the "Players Championship on the PGA Tour (professional golf) in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (near Jacksonville).

Greetings, fellow Jacksonvillian(?).

Where were those gardens located (Longwood) - lovely shots. (I'm guessing not Longwood, Florida?)

I couldn;t get out and shoot this week because my DD was sick all week! SO here are a couple that I had already taken.

I hope I am not too late...

It may be a stretch, but you can see a reflection of the lamp post and some clouds in the wet surfaces of the "splash pad".

I have a similar picture where all the water is hitting the surface at the same time...

A few reflections from the week-

I know I'm late, but I finally have something to contribute. I put a piece of plexi-glass on top of the black muslin to get this reflection.

Now...on to motion (this week's assignment). Hopefully I'll capture something at my son's final track meet tomorrow.
Thanks for doing these assignments. Although I haven't participated as I'd like to, I'm still very much enjoying it.
