Ladies how did you get into shape for your wedding??? I need to loose about 35-45 pounds..so please give me your tips on how to do it... I have about 7 months....thanks

Absolutely join Weight Watchers. If you follow the plan as they give it to you, you WILL lose weight!! :thumbsup2

Eliminate carbs (except vegetables) and sugars (except fruits). Eat everything else until moderately full. When I did this my average day looked like this - I easily dropped 15 lbs:

Breakfast: Egg white omelet (4 egg whites, prosciutto, green onions, goat cheese, and mozza)
Snack: Fruit and cheese
Lunch: Salad, fruit salad, or a bag of popcorn
Snack: Fruit and cheese or peanut butter
Dinner: Meat of choice, mashed sweet potato or other veggies, or a large greek salad

I also drank lots of water and tea and limited my coffee intake (mostly because I drink cream in my coffee, milk in my tea)

I did Herbalife. It has worked for me so far since I have NO time for meal prep during the day, I eat at my desk, and my eating habits are really atrocious. And I have no self control. So far I'm down 27 lbs, and I have 66 days to go :D That way I only have one meal to do a day, and my fiance cooks it!

Also, join a gym. Go to the classes. Go with friends so you won't skip out :D The guilt they give you is a great motivator :D

Drink a lot of ice water. Don't eat after 7 pm.

Almonds are a great high protein snack.

Plus make a plan on paper and stick to it!! Track your weight loss on a chart by your scale and it will help you out. :woohoo:

I'm gonna give another vote to Weight Watchers.:thumbsup2 I do it online and its easy and it actually gives food a value which worked for me. Like a big mac is worth 23 points(which is almost a whole day's points) and isn't going to fill you. Are you really willing to spend that, or would you rather have Chicken and a baked potato and fruit and a whole bunch of other stuff? That worked for me! I've lost 26lbs and I'm plateauing a little bit so I'm probably going to join a gym to bump my weight loss a little!

I went with portion control and exercise. (I really hate the word diet)
I just minded how much I ate, and started hitting the gym religiously every single workday before work for 40 minutes at the very least, rain or shine.

So far I have lost 32 lbs and still loosing. I bought my dress a size down from where I was back in February... I am proud to say I already fit into it
I am hoping to keep on going down.

DH joins me at the gym every day (it is empty at 6 a.m.) I watch movies on my iPod touch or listen to music, he watches the TV or listens to music. Working out early also gives me tons of energy and puts me on a great mood for the day. It also helps keep my stress levels down.:cool1:

We use the wii EA Sports Active as well to tone our upper body (which in my case needs a lot of work), I plan on using it more and more as we get closer to the big day. So far so good!

Oh yeah, we have started dance lessons as well and we practice a lot since it is a lot of fun! :dance3:That can be quite a work out and we do it often as well :thumbsup2

PS: Another tip I got from my granny, drink water! I take two big water jugs to work and drink them during the work day, I also replenish fluids while working out. Since I don't like plain water THAT much I just dilute a tiny bit of 100% cranberry juice (no sugar added, no juice cocktail) into the water for taste and it is great!

I'm going to vote for doing classes at the gym.

You go in, you start, and all of a sudden you've done an hours worth of high intensity exercise. I find I can almost watch the weight drop away.

I tried Calorie King - which is a free version of Weight Watchers, and I found that by doing this I was constantly thinking about food, which just made me hungry. When I'm not counting, I'm not thinking about it, and I'm not hungry so I don't eat  So I don't count any more.

Different things work for different people. :thumbsup2
