Thank you everyone!! You are all so sweet. I just had Ernie read this thread, and he couldn't believe how everyone is getting into this. He is a little worried about the lime green, but I reassured him!

Let's see...the romantic story of 9 is Enough? Gee, I just hate to talk about it! OK, ok, twist my arm!

I am a widow, and my late hubby and I were blessed with six "handpicked" joys...4 boys and then two girls! Presently they are from 28 to 11 years old, and the light of my world...most days!

I had had a wonderful marriage, and I figured that part of my life was over! Apparently I had angels watching over me who disagreed. In walked Ernie and his four...3 girls and 1 boy from 24 to 15.

Actually, he didn't walk in...he e-mailed in! Yup, we met online! We lived 10 minutes apart for the past 15 years, had kids in the same school system, shopped at the same market, but it took the internet to put us in the same room! Go figure.

That was a year ago last week. We've been inseparable ever since. The kids are all great and get along...can you imagine! That alone must mean something special! Oh, we also have one two year old grandson who keeps us hopping!

I don't know how I got so lucky, but I thank God every day for the blessing of another love in my life. If you keep your heart open (and your ears on ) anything can happen!

First I want to say Ispoke to Fawn and I was overwhelmed with the story of her husband and their perfect marriage and then the tragedy that closed that chapter for her - when she first wrote asking if I knew of anyone that could help her - I knew in my heart this was one request I had to be on - I feel very honored to be a part of this wonderful relationship between her and Ernie. We have so many here that are involved with this planning - all family and friends so I know it will be extra special - Norm is going to speak to security Thursday and everyone else about having it right there at the terminal where all of those that are cruising can be a part of this special union. anyhow as the plans are made - as the time comes closer I am sure Fawn will give all details that she wants to share. Thank you each for all the ideas etc - keep them coming.

Shirley...I repeat, you are such a SPECIAL lady! For you to devote your time and heart to helping like this brings me to tears. Hmmm...where are those wings...they're tucked up your sleeves, right??

I am so amazed at the Internet. I met Ernie here, and now I have met a new friend who is helping to plan such an important day in my life!! I'm even getting a whole shipful of guests!! I have sworn since our first date that angels have been guiding this relationship, and it appears that they are still here every step of the way!! I am SOOOOO blessed!!

Wovenwonder...sorry to Mickey and Minnie, but we already have our attendants. Ernie's son is best man, and my two daughters and one daughter-to-be will be my co-maids of honor. Shhh...I haven't asked them yet! My son will give me away. I'm trying to talk him into his dress uniform but to no avail...I'll keep at it! Maybe they could help Shirley marry us?

Dave...a live webcast...can you actually do something like that!! LOL I have to say that our kids in NJ, PA, Chicago and Thailand that can't make it would probably love it!!

I will plan on getting a digital cam between now and then, and leaving the picture disc with Shirley the day of the wedding if she has the capability to put it on line!

I promise to share all plans as we make them, and any ideas and/or advice you all want to offer, please do!! I can't believe a week ago I was sure I'd not be able to do this!

It's funny how our kids ages worked out. All of his are at least two years apart from mine...just far enough for no common friends or teams. I also had some in private schools off and on.

One of my boys did remember his youngest daughter in middle school. She was the "cute tiny little girl"! She's still on the tiny side, and still absolutely adorable! Those two are going on the cruise with us.


Dave...figured the webcam was a joke, but had to ask!


I promise there will be pictures!! Shirley's son even does photography! I am seeing a new business here for her in wedding planning, don't you all think??
