We just found out tonight that my cousin and her fiancee are having a informal wedding on Sunday, so I am thinking of putting together a dinner tomorrow night for them and wanted to do two or three simple games.
I already have the white game where you have to guess what white powder is in the bag, but need more ideas.
I also need ideas on prizes.

Scented candles, nice picture frame, candy dish. You can find some nice inexpensive ones at Wal-mart.

Small potted plants, little trinkets (knickknacks, gewgaws, tchochkes, or whatever you call them), jewelry boxes, movie tickets.

I used candles, frames, and some bath salts. I found all of these at Kohl's. :)

I also have a great game. If you are interested let me know! :)

I need some wedding shower games. My neice is getting married soon. I'd love to hear your game!

Kimba

kimba-This is a game I did as an opener. Here is the basic concept:Ahead of time, the hostess makes up wedding related questions on little sheets of paper. For example, What would you do if you noticed the Groom's zipper is down during the ceremony? Each guest chooses a question out of a basket and writes the answer on the back of the question. The pieces of paper are collected and then the basket is passed again. One person reads the question on her paper, and the next person reads the answer on her paper. Then she reads her question and the next person reads her answer, and so on. You end up with crazy questions and answers, like, "What would you do if your dad got drunk at the reception and started making chicken noises?" "Whisper to him, hey man, check your zipper!" If your guests want to continue after one round, they can make up their own questions.

What I did what type out the questions, print them out on a piece of paper, and then used a glue stick to glue them to a recipe card (the side with no lines).

Then at the shower I handed them out. And had everyone write their response to the question. I told them it could be what they would do to help the bride out (how to solve the problem) or just their reaction (like laughing.)

Then I explained that the first person was to introduce themselves and how they knew the bride and/or groom. Then the second person read the answer to their question. Then the second person introduced themselves and read their question. etc.

This game went SO well! Everyone loved it and we were all laughing at the answers. DH's Great Aunt liked it so much she took my cards so she could use them at a shower she was doing. :)

I asked the Diser's here for help and they didn't let me down. Here is the link to the thread: Bridal Shower Game Questions . Some I used and some I made up on my own.

Hope it works for you! :)

Any other questions let me know! :)

White Game-Put different types of white powder items such as flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, baking powder, salt, sugar, cornstartch...in individual bags and number them. Have each guest write down their answers next to their numbered guests.

How well does the bride and groom know each other? Before the shower ask the bride and groom questions such as what is the name of your first b/f or g/f, when you first saw....what did you think of him/her? You can then make it out like the newlywed game where you ask for the answer of what the other mate though ... the answers can get pretty funny.

Toilet paper bride-Split the group up in two, and give each a roll of toilet paper. One person from each team needs to be the model while the other members use just that one toilet paper to make the bride's gown, bouquet, and head piece. The bride then picks the winner.

Hope these help you.

I would not ask questions about past b/f or g/f in any game. If someone had done that before dh and I got married he would have been mad!

It's different in our family-but only with certain family members-so it would have been a fun thing. I wouldn't do it with just anyone, so you would have to base your questions depending on each couple.
