Wedding outside Disney?

I have an odd question ~ I am travel agent and my client really wants to get married at Disney ~ however, the $10,000 minimum is over budget. Does anyone have another suggestion? Can you get married there without all the fuss? Is there a church near Disney that someone could recommend? Any ideas at all?

I don't know their wedding guest count but what about an intimate? The maximum number is 18 guests, but it is less expensive. The info on that is on Disney's website. Or there is the Swan and Dolphin. They ahve some nice locations and I believe are less expensive than a custom at Disney.

Unless I am doing it wrong ~ that's what I was looking at on their website ~ minimum cost was $10,000 US!

When you go to Disney's wedding site there is a screen where you choose between the intimate or custom wedding package (it also has cruise line as an option). A custom wedding has minimums starting at $10K and up. Intimate packages are for no more than 18 guests and start somewhere around $3000.

Customs start at $10k and intimates at around $3k depending on the venue. Intimates are smaller affairs without the formal reception, but a cake and champagne toast instead. The FAQ section lists the prices and ammentities I believe.

My daughter is working on having the intimate wedding. She is allowed 18 guests which will be 3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, and both immediate families/w spouses. Then we are thinking of some kind of dinner at one of the restaurants. Then when she comes home, we are planning a reception with a video of the wedding.

We didn't have a disney wedding, we went to Cypress Grove and it was perfect, we had an amazing day, we got married under a decorated gazebo overlooking a lake, it really did look beautiful.

You can do a wedding at the Swan or Dolphin without the DFTW stuff.
