Hey! So I am desperately trying to find a way to get nice invitations but cheap. I have been looking everywhere and even made one myself. problem is material seems like it will be just as expensive as buying them. SO Please post your invitations and where you bought them. Plus I noticed there was no other thread with just invitations so, this will be good for everyone.

Thanks!

Here's the invitations thread - maybe we can get people to add to it so it gets bumped back up!

There's always a link to stuff like cakes, invites, bouquets, etc. in the sticky called "It's All In the Details," at the top of the main forum, but it's nice when they get bumped so people can share new pictures. :goodvibes

We used weddingpaperdivas.com and loved them. Found affordable invites and saved time and energy. When we bought the stuff to make them and it turned out to be cheaper to order them including shipping so we did!

I know Toni used them to and was very happy with the product too.

I actually bought mine from Michaels. They have a whole line of DIY invitations that is endorsed by BRIDES magazine. I think there are some pretty nice ones at Target too, surprisingly. They come in a variety of colors, and I ended up sprucing them up even more with small gems. I don't have a pic of them yet though...sorry! But you should just make a trip and check them out. They saved me a ton of money. I was still able to have the pocket folder that I wanted and everything. :thumbsup2 Good luck in your search.

Yeah I really liked weddingpaperdivas.com. They had really great colors and designs to choose from and they were inexpensive.

I designed mine with Vistaprint.com. They are inexpensive and you can really personalize it- to make it about you or add some Disney flair! ( I added the castle to mine!)

My invitations were something like 40.00 for 60 of them. I used the Brides kit from Michaels - I got two boxes and used 40% off coupons on each. I added a few things, rhinestones for the middle of flowers that I got also from the Brides line, and Mickey Mouse punchouts that I made. Still the final cost didn't go above 50 - not counting postage of course, but each invite only needed one first class stamp so it wasn't bad.

The whole thing

The invite with aforementioned flower - we made the text a little weathered to go with our New England theme.

RSVP (that no one really sends back unless you threaten them with doom)

Those are lovely. Did you print them out yourself? If so, was it an inkjet printer? Thanks.

DF printed them out for us using the laser printer. We put it on ink save mode to get the aged look. You could do them on an inkjet as well - the package had instructions for that! :thumbsup2

These are the invitations we did.
I don't have a picture of them, but you can see the web site where we got them from. They came from india and were only $3.00 each.
We included the RSVP in the box along with some silver Mickey confetti we got from our wedding planner!

I have gotten SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many great compliments on them. When I take a picture I'll post it for everyone to see.

They look great, are they expensive to post?

The BRIDES invitations at Michael's are on sale this week, normally $39.99, I bought two boxes for $29.99 Each. You can't use the 40% off coupons (those would be a better value) but I bought 60 invites for $63 and change.
