Hello to all my fellow DISboard followers! :wave2: My fiance and I are getting married in Disney @ the Luau beach in December. We are surprising our 3 kids by finally getting married! They are in for a treat, since the whole Disney trip is going to be a surprise! It will just be us 2 and the kids so we are going with the Memories package. Does anyone have experience with this package and what it has to offer? Tips on best time of day? We have the option of morning or early afternoon (11am, 1pm, or 3pm). Advice on officiants? Make-up and hair? Ceremony options? Also, just wondering what would be a good place to celebrate after for us 5 as the memories package does not include a reception. Open to all suggestions! Thanks in advance

congrats and welcome! We got married in December - it was amazing weather!

I didn't go the Memories route but can offer some advice in general.

I'd opt for the 1pm ceremony time - that way you still have plenty of time to get ready in the morning. I would go with Rev. Tim Herring or Jack Day for your officiant. Beaute Speciale and Patricia LeJune are wonderful for hair/makeup.

Reception - I'd totally make a reservation at your favorite Disney restaurant and call it a day!

Thanks for this awesome start!! I've been lost checking out your tips and podcasts :surf web: It will keep me busy for a while :)

I am local and know or have worked with so many vendors here so I can suggest a few. I made a list for my own wedding so I have my list with me. I will separate the different people into different lines/paragraphs to make it easier to read.

Rev. Deems Timothy Herring with A Beautiful Wedding does a lot of Disney weddings and does an amazing job.

I have a list of makeup and hair people:
MAC at the Millennia mall comes out to locations to do makeup. Call and ask for Kat Quiel. I have her number but do not want to post it here for safety. I talked with her about makeup and she said she goes to locations to do makeup.

My favorite MUA is Amanda M with Bella Con Stile' Makeup Artistry.

My other favorite does both hair and makeup. She is Jackie with Hairstyles and Makeup by Jackie. She is StylistMUA Jackie on FB. She does a lot of Disney brides and does a great job.

There is also Brush Savvy for makeup and Studio 11 for hair.

Hope this helps a little. :)

Oh, for your reception I would choose a restaurant you love and go for it.

Royal Table and Be Our Guest are good ones. I went to Be Our Guest because my sister wanted to go when it opened. You get a little food for the price but it is beautiful. O'Hana is awesome. There are so many choices!
