I just ordered my dress the other day. It is a maggie sottoro called the sterling. I'm new to the boards so I cant post a picture, but if you go to her site and search sterling it will pop up. The venue we are getting married in is almost like a green house with plants everywhere so I thought the flowy dress was fitting. I also lucked out, the venue has a deal with a local bridal boutique. As long as we bought four bridesmaids dresses at the store, I got a wedding dress up to $3000 for free. So that made it even better!

Thank you!! The gown and bolero are both Demetrios. However, the bolero was custom-designed by me and the Demetrios consultant, and then "executed" by a designer at Demetrios. It is not for sale by Demetrios, but it was worth every penny to be able to say "I want this piece of beading as the centerpiece on the back of the jacket, and I want this piece of the skirt for the outside of the sleeves, and I want beaded trim." Their execution of my vision was unbelievable and I cried when I saw it. It is so heavy and encrusted with the beads and crystals that it cannot be hung on a hanger or it would pull out of shape.

The gown is from Demetrios Ilissa line and is style number 938. It is so much prettier in person than you can see in the pictures. It literally took my breath away when I first saw it, and when I put it on, my 2 dear friends, my daughter and my "adopted" daughter all cried.

You are so sweet. Yes, for some reason, Demetrios and I had some kind of "chemistry" -- every time I fell in love with a picture of a gown, it was Demetrios. I tried on no less than 6 Demetrios gowns that I would have loved, but when I saw this one, that was it. Search done. Fairy tale fulfilled.

Oh, and I should mention -- DH (Howard) said the gown would have been worth any amount of money. He absolutely LOVED it. The "first look" pictures still make me cry.

I finally finished my ceremony gown and jacket last week! Our wedding has a 1930s feel to it, so it's meant to be "vintage" in appearance. The gown is silk charmeuse while the jacket is silk velvet. I'm so glad to have it done (so I can put it in the closet and not have to worry about it for three months!)

I actually gasped when I saw these pics! Your dress is stunning!

I always thought I liked quite simple dresses but after seeing this one, I may be branching out! It is gorgeous!
