Wedding dresses

Thank you:goodvibes. I have just started planning things but this dress has been set in my mind for the past 6 mnths!

And have you seen how cheap it is? £85 must be around $100!!

I'm thinking of teaming it with an orange petticoat for a splash of colour

OMG! I *love* Vivien of Holloway! I have three of their dresses and am lining up my fourth! Have you had one before? Just incase you haven't, their sizes run a little small. I'm usually a 14/16 and my dresses from there tend to be an 18/20 :goodvibes

Hi fellow UK bride!!:goodvibes

No I've never had one of her dresses before but i just adore them. I think I will travel to the shop to actually try them on before I buy one. Much more fun than ordering online.

Do you think they are well made dresses? I've only seen them in photos so far. Do you have any of the petticoatsto go with your dresses? I have seen a much fluffier one on a US website so I'm thinking of importing one.

Hi! Which area of the UK are you from? :goodvibes

I'd probably advise going to the shop and trying one on before buying...I definately would if I could! Buuut....if you can't, as long as you measure yourself properly, then you won't have any problems :thumbsup2 They're really well made...I wouldn't keep spending so much on one dress if I didn't like them :thumbsup2 I've got three petticoats and I :lovestruc them. I bought one of them from ebay actually, a 27" one, and that was really well made and very fluffy but, looking on there now, I can't find the seller :-( Seeing as you're likely going to be going to the shop I'd suggest trying one on with the dress before making a decision on importing one :goodvibes

Here are the latest pics of my dress - I am so in love with it :)

Thanks! In each of the pickups there is a small crystal - so it makes it really sparkly, which is not coming through on my camera for some reason.

It hasn't even been altered yet - it will need to be taken in very slightly, and the bow needs to be attached to the back so it doesn't run across the ties, as it looks busy from the back the way it is....I was shocked it fit so perfectly!

You'll really sparkle! princess:

I can't believe its not even been altered! I thought it was nearly done with!

I'm originally from Manchester but moved to Grimsby 2 years ago to be with my fella. I am hoping to move back within the next few years though as Grimsby really lives up to its name:lmao:
I've been looking at ebay too and noticed that the seller had gone. Will definately make the trip to London to try the dress on and get their advice.Struggling to source a pair of shoes to suit the dress at the mo though. Any ideas?

This is mine - a Maggie Sottero Capri Royale. It is a stunning dress and worth every penny :goodvibes

I absolutely love this shot. It was taken as I walked away and the wind caught it. It was very windy the day we got married and we got some great shots, but not so good for the hair!

Lol I'm from Grantham, Lincs :-) Away at uni at the moment, but moving back in May/June and commuting for my third yr

What colour shoes are you looking for?

I've got my eye on an ivory pair of Nicholas Millington's in the Additions catalogue - I :lovestruc these so much I'm gonna buy them just in case!
http://www.additionsdirect.co.uk/de...millington&prdToken=/p/prod1582274-sku2347332 I don't know if they could be dyed? If you're okay with spending a bit more there is a pair of Benjamin Adams shoes, style 'Scarlet' and theyre GORGEOUS but expensive-ish at approx £160:-( They can definately be dyed all different colours

Beep :goodvibes Your dress is gorgeous!! I love your bouquet too :cutie: That second picture is fantastic - unique!

They are gorgeous shoes. Although I'm not sure I could do high heels all day as I'm clumsy:rolleyes1

Just ahd a peep at the benjamin Adams shoes. WOW, they are the most amazing shoes. Perfect infact! I think the pain would be worth it just for the photos! I would probably sneak a pair of dazzling flip flops out with me to slip into later on.
i also like Sherbert shoe by Pink Paradox. Similar with a lower heel.

I :lovestruc the Benjamin Adams but I don't really want to spend that much on a pair of shoes! I often see brand new ones on ebay, around the £80+ mark though. You'd get some fantastic photos with those!! :goodvibes

The Sherbert ones are lovely too - probably better for me seeing as I have a pain disorder in my feet/legs/hips....but I still love the other too! Hmm....worth the pain?!!! I think so!

Thank you very much! It was SO me although it surprised a few people that I had chosen it. That second picture is just brilliant - good old Randy Chapman :goodvibes

Your dresses are all so beautiful!! This is starting to get me really excited about my upcoming Disney Wedding and Disneymoon!! So my dress is a maggie sottero as well, the Victoriana. I like it in person better than on the website pictures, but I love it nonetheless!

I went dress shopping last weekend and here is the dress I have ordered. It is Maggie Sottero's Christina and I have it on order in alabasta which is a silvery white colour. I did not order it from the website I stole the pictures from (ordered it from a bridal boutique here in England) but the shop would not allow me to take pictures whilst I was trying on the dress and the pictures on the Maggie Sorreto site would not save. Hope you like it!!!

Here is my dress (hopefully I can post pictures now!). It is called Victoriana, and it is by Maggie Sottero. I ordered mine in white, not the colour that is in the picture. But I love it!
