I have just decided to do a Disney Themed Party here in NJ to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Most likely in combo with a VR Trip to the world in March, this year!

Found really nice, simple Mickey and Minnie invites, and thought I would start from there. Searching for a tasteful ( if there is such a thing) minnie mouse inspired dress for a vow renewal coctail party.

I'm thinking tone on tone polka dots or trim? Can anyone else see my vision and lend me a hand?

Thanks DeeKayPee. That first one would be perfect if it came in plus size 18/20 I suspect.

That first link was a great source, I saw asome others that might work too - now only if they came in a bigger size....

I really like that. I think I need something that looks pulled to the side or bunchy to make my hips look smaller and that one does it in a really nice way. Others that pull to the side look like someone pulled a string out of your dress and it all bunched up. That one doesn't, it's really pretty. Who makes it?

It's made by Demetrios. I got it at Macy's Herald Square. The bridal lady spent about 5 hrs w/ me. And, I couldn't believe the price. Under $1000. I was so happy that the one I liked the most was somewhat reasonable.

i LOVE this idea.... i would love to see one if you find it.... maybe a red dress with white polka dots? hmm... Ill keep a look-out!

They do have the minnie costumes off ebay... maybe you could get one for cheap off of there and find a seamstress and use it as inspiration.... but add your own unique touches..

OMG!!! I'm so excited!!! My wedding dress came today. I actually found it on ebay. A girl was selling it because she decided that she wanted a more casual type dress. So, it was new with tags, in the exact colors that I wanted (Ivory and Taupe) and in the exact style that I wanted. Her pictures weren't that great, but I took a chance. The buy it now was $200 and I figured if I didn't like it, I could sell it for more than that at the local consignment shop.

Well, it came today, and I am in LOVE with it!

Woo Hoo The dress came!!!!

I really liked that one SO MUCH when it was posted. Now that you say it's light and comfy, I'm sold even more. My wedding is going to be at noon, in FL, in July!! Are white bathing suits acceptable??

WoW! They are very similar! I'm not sure what 'kind' mine is. The tags in the dress say FIESTA, so I am assuming that is the designer??
