I would love to see your wedding pics, can't wait!! As soon as I get some better pics, I'll post my dress! :goodvibes

Has anyone ever done that, ordered their dress in a smaller size???

i ordered my dress online so i had the opportunity to send in whatever measurements i wanted. i sent in measurements 1 inch smaller than i actually was. i have since lost the inch and am in danger (hopefully) of losing at least another inch so that the dress will be too big. :) however, i dont recommend it. dont put the stress on yourself. too much pressure and stress to add to an already stressful situation. try losing some weight first. you can always get alterations.

Everyone looks fabulous in their dresses! I won't be getting married for a while (though we've finally talked about it! :cool1: ) but it's so much fun looking at everyone's choices!

These photos turned our horrible. I forgot my digital camera on the way to my final fitting so I had to stop and pick up a disposable (FYI- Disposable camera's do not make for good formal picture taking-- too much yellow!). Also- you can actually see the dress better in the mirror.

I love it you look beautifu! Smile!

I normally do smile- but at that time I was having a bad day already and the girl from davids bridal was very 'know it all' and they were working two brides at the same time in alterations -- hence trying to get me undressed and out of there. I wanted so badly to get some pictures and she kept hurrying my sister to take them so they could get the other girls finished and out of there. At that point I just wanted pictures of my body in the dress. LOL....

See .... I can smile :) --
Im wanting to wear these glasses with my dress instead of contacts. In the pictures with my dress I am wearing my black ones. These are silver. I cant decide though...

(My nephew in the picture- taken pretty recent thats why I posted this one)

Anyone wore glasses in their wedding and the pictures turned out okay?
I have been wearing these type glasses (just different styles/colors) for years. But I would hate to wear them in my wedding and look back in years and think "What the heck was I thinking!"
Suggestions?

I was the opposite of you. I refused to wear my glasses so about 6 mos prior I got contacts for the 1st time in my life. I had a very hard time with them. But in the end I am very happy I did because I didn't want glasses in my photos. I switch between contacts & glasses now.

Great choice on the location (I'm biased though).

P.S. Your nephew is a CUTIE!

see im afraid ill regret having them in the pictures- one for the glare factor - and two.... a natural face never goes out of style! Ahh... the delima!

Mags--how about just wearing the glasses in a few photo shots. Not take your contacts out, obviously--just slip the glasses on for a few photos. I see your point about the glare and not dating your photos.

Who smiles at dress fittings anyway? It's always such a hassle.

lol no kidding! At that point i was like "GET ME OUT OF HERE"... I would say thats what I'll do- is just slip them on for some and go without for others. I am using Randy Chapman and he takes quite a few pictures so it wouldnt be hard. Thanks :smooth:

OOOO.. can I play? This is my wedding dress from about a year ago (December 2, 2005 to be exact). It just didn't come out as good in the pictures, but I got so many compliments on it. Even from the MEN! Which is odd. They thought the dress was so unique and no one had really ever seen this style before. Now it's pretty popular, so maybe I started a trend? :scratchin Just kidding! This dress is by Maggie Saterro (sp?)

ETA: Sorry, I know I have better pix than this but these are the only ones on my work computer.

Maggimus - That is a beautiful dress, I love that style, I have chosen something similar, I think it really compliments you, not many can get away with ruffled skirts! It's very beautiful from the back btw.

beck - You're dress is also beautiful, similar to Maggimus, I think it looked beautiful on you! The pics are lovely btw.

Thanks to summer and maggs! I appreciate that! I just wish I had a better frontal view to post, but I don't. :confused3 Plus the camera can't capture how those beads on the neckline and dress sparkled anyway. Oh well!

Hoo boy. I saw this dress in Martha Stewart Weddings, and was struck right away. This is exactly the look that I want.

I had a look at it today at the local bridal shop that carries Jenny Packham (White Toronto), and came to the conclusion that something's going to have to hit me pretty hard to beat this dress...
