We'll benefit more from having Premium APs for this trip.

Anyone know if it's OK for us to upgrade the wedding ones we have?

IDK if that's completely true...

When we went to activate ours during our wedding trip I asked if we could upgrade them to include waterparks and the CM did it without a problem.

I've heard other stories where the person couldn't upgrade/change them at all.

take your chances, maybe you'll get lucky like we did.

Thanks for the input. :) - Did you also get the 20% discount?

I'll ask but if they say 'no' I won't mention it. :)

The wedding APs entitle you to 10% discount on merchandise.

Premium AP holders get 20%.

They would scan my AP when I bought things I never noticed how much of a discount it was. I'll have to check when I go back in may.

You're probably not wrOng bc I've heard they have no value so no upgrades. I just wanted to let everyone know that when I asked I wasn't told no by the CM at the AK guest services counter so we paid the difference and can now go to water parks too.

I'm sure it depends on the CM you get to help you. Like all things Disney and wedding related, there's never a clear definitive answer lol. ;)

When you upgraded, did you already have your AP's activated and have the actual AP ticket in your hand, or did you give them the voucher and asked to upgrade? Just wondering because we just activated our AP's a couple weeks ago and they look exactly the same as a regular AP, so maybe the CM did not check and just upgraded for you. If that's the case, maybe I will try this...:rolleyes1

We had the vouchers that DFTWs sends. I just think the CM didn't notice what he was doing.

I think when it's Disney, it never hurts to ask. Once a CM let both my fiance and I have the FL resident discount for our tix even though I'm a FL res and he isn't. We didn't ask for it, the CM just told us he was doing it. Sometimes you get lucky with a nice person in a good mood!

I upgraded mine to a premium ap when I exchanged the voucher for the pass. I did this to take advantage of the 20% discount.
