What resort/room category could guarantee a full balcony and water view?

Hoping to come to WDW for a relaxed vacation with just my DH ....we actually will be spending time in the room and sitting on the balcony this time. I would like to just pick something and not worry about if I will have a full balcony. We would also love a water view. It will just be the 2 of us, so we don't need the expensive Poly Bungalows or WL Cabins. Choosing BC is too stressful because so many of their rooms dont have a full balcony. Any ideas?

As PP noted, CR, Main Tower, water view would do the trick as it gives you a view of Bay Lake. If you want to stay at GF or Poly, you may be better off with a theme park view as water view at those resorts could mean a view of the pool. Yacht Club is also lovely, but same issue with water view meaning a view of the lake or a pool.

Plus you'd have to request a higher floor with those and you may not get it.
CR Main Tower is the only resort I think you're going to guarantee a balcony without having to request something.

What about Savannah view at AKL. Not a water view because that’s the pool but all the rooms have balconies and you can watch the animals?
We have had the Savannah View (CL) at AKL in the past ....and this might go against popular opinion, but they were a complete waste. We hardly saw any animals the entire week from our balcony. I really wanted early morning animals while drinking my coffee - never saw any during that time LOL

I will look into CR, haven't stayed there in over 20 years. I am also very interested in YC as I suspect we will be mostly at Epcot - but I really dont want that pool view. Does anyone know if YC CL waterview rooms can also be pool view?

Yes, they can. I've only stayed YC CL waterview twice and both times I had an immediate view of a very large flat roof with exhaust/fans (?). Beyond the roof was Stormalong Bay, and further out was Crescent Lake.

Good to know. I am currently researching BWI - they have a waterview category that says "Views of Disney's BoardWalk or Crescent Lake". Wouldn't all Boardwalk View rooms also have a waterview? It is all so confusing lol
