Websites for Hilton Head Island Research?

Hi All! I am looking for some good websites to do some Hilton Head Island research. We are going for the first time in June.
I am looking for information on dining, activities (marsh and beach) and key attractions.
I know it is a barrier island, is it similar to Assateague Island, MD/VA.? I also know it is known for great golf, DH golfs but I do not. We will be traveling with our 3 DD's - 9, 4 and 2 at the time.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hilton Head. I know you will have a great time there. Our family is travelling there next week. If you want to pm me with your address, I can drop an envelope of info in the mail to you, including the activities guide, golf guide, and restaurant guide and a few other things. Planning is half the fun, right?

Make sure you either bring or rent bikes for your family while you are visiting. It is so worth it.

You can also check www.islandpacket.com -- the website of the daily newspaper for Hilton Head.

One of my favorite things to do at HH is get the Island Packet in the morning (it's only a quarter!!) and sit on the porch with it and a cup of coffee.

aaaahhhhh....only 4 more days!!!

Other then being a barrier island, it is nothing like Assateague. Hilton Head is developed, but the beaches are still beautiful and accessible. Have a great visit!

You can get it from the newspaper machine located between the restrooms by the exercise room and Community Hall. But beware -- they sell out quickly. Sometimes the front desk has them as well, so you can get your early morning walk in!

You all are providing me (and others) with with some great resources. I really enjoyed the dining thread provided.
Right now I have scanned most of the sites and filed them. When we return from our Dec. WDW trip, I will really dive in.
