You don't say which airline you are interested in, but I know that at least Delta and Continental will show you flight tracking for their flights.

I was interested in tracking when an airline reduces a fare that I have my eye on.

The Jet Blue fare I am looking at is $194 and I'm hoping it goes down.

I used www.yapta.com to track my JB flights to FL this year. Was able to call for a $50 JB credit by following the Yapta site.
