Yes, I believe this is an AWS issue. When I first checked this morning (5ish eastern time) my Dashboard would not load and several web elements were missing from the page. But, I had a modification search up from last night that allowed me to keep refreshing. Now I am able to login and all web elements load properly but all my reservations are missing from my dashboard (they still show on WDW) and I can't search.
I don’t think they resetting anything. They rely on AWS and as long as aws is impacted we will continue to see impact..
Hopefully they are just resetting some things and we'll be up soon.
True, but the issue is now a different one than what happened earlier (you could search and see current reservations). Also, you are able to see old reservations. I suspect they have taken search offline and instead of just preventing users from logging in it instead is presenting an error.I don’t think they resetting anything. If they had taken search offline wouldn’t the calendar search also be unavailable?True, but the issue is now a different one than what happened earlier (you could search and see current reservations). Same. I guess I meant the functionality of the search. Regardless, it is offline. It has to do with AWS. Whether they are trying to fix an issue that did not get fixed hen AWS came back online or not, it's off line for us all. Let's hope it doesn't last too long. I need to stalk for one last night on our Christmas week reservation.....If they had taken search offline wouldn’t the calendar search also be unavailable?
To me the error doesn’t show until I actually make a search for dates, resorts and room types.
Spoke too soon. Everything is back!Same, no upcoming trips showing up, can’t search either. Past reservations do show. Scary at first until I realized whose site I’m on.
They do not shut the site down every night. When they do maintenance, etc. on it it is overnight though and during those times they will lock members out. They used to put a note on the site about upcoming maintenance, I'm not sure if that it still done or not.I always have issues at night after around 10 pm, its just over, do you know if they just shutdown for the night?
They probably gave up on the notes because there would be a lot of themThey do not shut the site down every night. But, to be clear, last night the issue was not DVC, it was AWS. Many, many, many sites and services were affected (and some still are) last night.
