We are new members who bought direct through Disney. We recently closed and received our 1st statement yesterday. I know that you need to have an activation code in order to access the member website, but how do I get this? I thought they were supposed to send something in the mail, but I can't remember. Do I need to call MS for this code? Thanks for your help!

Very excited to be new members! :goodvibes

Welcome Home!

I just called DVC tech support and they walked me through the process. I am not good at directions for the computer at all.

Similar situation. I called and they were very helpful. You need a club ID # and a PIN to get set up for the website. They should be able to provide both, assuming your purchase has closed or is closing very soon. You should have your Member ID already to give them over the phone.

Good luck!

You need to call Memeber services and tell them you need an activation code plus the club ID to register on dvcmember.com they gave me mine

I'm in the same boat. However, I'm wondering how will I know if we are close to closing and/or have already closed? I sent in the paperwork about a week ago and there was an estimated closing date (not that I remember it off the top of my head)... I'm just wondering how long I should wait before I call to attempt to get a password.

Thanks!

They never called to tell us we closed. We ended up emailing our guide and he was like, "oh yeah you closed on Sunday." We still haven't received anything. I'm going to call today for our activation code for the website.

No one ever called us either. We checked that one website that said our deed was recorded, but the site url is escaping me right now. Shortly after, they sent us our first annual dues statement, so we figured it was official. :rotfl:

Called MS this morning and received all our info needed to log in. It now feels OFFICIAL! Too bad July 2012 is so far away. Here's to hoping it goes fast! :cheer2:

I just called for my code as well and I banked our 2010 points. Our next trip isn't until October 2012 so I also want time to go by super fast!

Congrats on your purchase!

If you bought direct from Disney then you don't need to "close" before you get your points and have the ability to make a reservation. In fact some members book a reservation 1 or 2 days after they give their Guide the deposit.

Your Guide can make your first reservation for you but they don't because you didn't ask.

If you are looking to find out when your account is available on line, call MS every couple of days and have them look you up by name or SSN.
