I'm a complete computer dork and I need help.

I want to do a web page so that i can put things in my siggie and such however I cant' figure out how to do it. I went to yahoo and signed up for a free geocities, but when i try to build the page it shuts me out. I think because I have a mac g4 instead of a pc.
Does anyone out there know how to do this? I don't want to pay much (if I can get it free that would be better {read: cheap computer dork})

If you only want a site to hold pics for use in you siggie, many DISers including me are using Sony's Imagestation . Yahoo and MSN won't let you post pics simply to link up anyway.

As Kris said, if you are looking for pictures only, imagestation.com is a great one for you. Very easy to use. Geocities won't allow you to use pictures like that anyway. I also use a couple of other places but I pay for them. One though that is relatively cheap is worldzone.net Good luck Tara and PM me if you need help

I finally have a pic on my siggie! woohoo

Now that I know how to do it, I can keep it updated.

I used Geocities when I had my Mac ( I miss my Mac ) and didn't have any problems. If you want an easy way to build (WYSIWYG) pages download Netscape. That is what I use to build pages, then I upload them to Geocities.

BTW Yahoo/Geocities does not allow direct linking to pictures, so it wouldn't work for sig. pages.
