Weather next week

I would take that weather right now.. it is pretty cold here in MA.. and raining.. fair is good, I think... and you never know.. it could change at any time.. Think positively.. and hugs.

KatieKate16 -

You have to understand that it has the possibility of raining every day in Florida. I used to live there. The good side of it is, just as fast as it rains, is as fast as the sun comes right back out. The peninsula of Florida is only so wide. The weather usually goes right across it very fast.

So, don't fret about the rain. You can't control it anyway! From what I understand from these boards, you just keep going when it rains. I purchased throw away ponchos at Wal-Mart for $.97 each. They're in the camping section. They're packaged real thin and easy to carry.

Just remember to have fun. Make it fun to play in the rain. Don't forget, it's not really cold when it rains there.

Hope you have a great vacation. We're going down on the 11th of this month. When exactly are you going? We're staying off-site.

TTFN,
Maria

we will also be there-I'm praying that it will be beautiful and not raining-but we will have to roll with the punches

Accuweather.com has a much different 15-day forecast. A lot less rain. The Orlando Sentinel's website has a 5-day forecast that looks pretty good. Chance of thunderstorms Sun afternoon, and clearing at night. Hope so for MNSSHP.

I'll be there too. Last night I checked weather and weather.com had a different forecast - they have increased likelihood of rain. At least it doesn't look like it will be too hot. It is cold in Michigan right now but I don't like super hot weather. I won't mind the rain except Sunday during MNSSHP - that would be sad. But otherwise it should keep things cooler and maybe less crowded! I am bring 2 umbrellas, raincoats, ponchos, and extra shoes so we should be able to handle it!

Yes, accuweather made me feel better! I know it's unpredictable and those forecasts don't mean much...but it still makes me sigh. I have NEVER been rained on in WDW, hope I can still say that after I return!

KatieKate - we will not be in WDW at the same time. You'll be leaving and I'll be coming.

I know we'll both have a great time. First time for my boys, 7 and 3.

TTFN,
Maria

KatieKate - I will be there the same time as you (10/3-10-13) and I saw the weather.com forecast yesterday and it looked great. Then I looked at it today and I got worried. My husband showed me the accuweather.com one too and told me not to worry. I guess we will probably get some rain, but hopefully not too much. I'm going to MNSSHP this Sunday too (look for the family all dressed in Peter Pan-themed costumes). I would hate it if it rains that night because all our costumes would get covered with rain-gear! Keep your fingers crossed for the better forecast to win out! Like you, the only other time I was at Disney, we didn't have any rain. We really lucked out on that trip.

I wonder which forecast is more accurate?

Think sunny thoughts :D

I believe the forecast with the most sunny days is the most accurate!
We'll be at MNSSHP Sun. as well. I'll take rain any day except that one!

I thought everyone know that Disney World had a magic bubble over it that keeps the bad weather out. Of course, they have to let some rain in to keep the lakes full. Rain/no rain it'll be fun :)

We will be there 10/4-10/12. I will take that weather over what we will be getting here in MA over the next week.

They say that when it rains it passes by so fast. Usually rains for a bit than it is nice out.

Though I wonder how they can predict the forecast for 15 days when the local weathermen won't do more than 5 days.

I think the weather will depend alot on what larry will do. www.Hurricanetrack.com says they are not sure but it might go towards Fl., rather than Mexico. It is still far off, though.

I'm still having sunshine thoughts, and if not, I've never been in a hurricane. Will be an adventure.

Yes I just saw the news today about Larry!!! YIKEs! I hope he stays where he is!!!
We will be there the 16-26!!! Only 2 weeks to go!!!

I'll be there too. I think as long as the TS stays out in the Gulf near Mexico we should get just a little rain here and there. Hope to see some Lime green in the parks. :)
