What is the weather like in January?
I think I recall seeing pictures of people in pants and jackets! What should I plan for?

Thanks in advance!!!

I don't mean to be a smart***, but plan for everything. I have been in January in the past and have worn shorts/t-shirt and jeans/sweatshirt/heavy coat on the same trip. So plan to layer and be ready for everything!

We've been in January and had 80's. And we've had 40's. Sometimes it rained, sometimes we had sun.

Just check Weather.com before you leave.

Here's the forecast:

January 1: Expect sunny and 75, 58 in the evening

January 2: It should be just like January 1.

January 3: Oops, the forecaster blew the first two and expect the same 55 and occasional showers you had Jan 1 and 2 and possibly 45 at night

January 4: Oh my gosh, we did not know that cold front was actually going to drop down from the north. Sorry you had to ride Kali River Rapids when it was 26 degrees. Chalk it up as a unique experience you will remember for a lifetime.

January 5: So today started at 28 degrees, but it is now 78 in the afternoon and your still wearing your winter coat and gloves in the park. You'll remember next time to always carry with you a change to summer clothes and vice versa.

January 6: No, it is not hurricane, we really don't have hurricanes in the winter. It is just a Nor'easter that ended up flowing in the wrong direction.

January 7: That is just Disney's fake snow that you see everywhere. We don't have snow in Orlando.

January 8: You weren't expecting 90 degrees in January even though we tell the tourists it happens all the time in Orlando?

January 9: You really should not be afraid to go out in this weather. I know it is weird to see snow and lightning at the same time, but these things tend to disappear rather quickly.

January 10: Yes, all the animals have left town. No, it does not mean we are about to have an earthquake or tsunami although we have been known to get tornados once in a while.

Rest of month: More weather.

:thumbsup2 Correct answer. Pack layers for sure.

We have been to WDW many times in January. We have had it be as warm as 90 and as cold as 32! If it happens to be 50 and rainy, you are definitely going to need LOTS of layers! We always make sure we have a pair of gloves for those days too.

We have been 3 times in late Jan. and I agree that you get some warm days and some cold ones. We usually don't see much rain but last Jan. we did have one very rainy afternoon/evening at EC. Actually it poured that night. The problem with Jan. is that I feel you have to pack more.....shorts/capris in case it is warm and sweatshirts/hoodies/gloves for colder days/nights. We are headed back Jan. 26th so I will check the weather before we go. We were there on Nov. 20th for 8 nights and it was in the 40's the first few nights and we never took off our sweatshirts/jackets the first like 3 to 4 days. It warmed up after that though.

Yeah, it's crazy here. For example, today's high 83 and Fridays low 43. Plan for everything;)
