weather in HH during mid March

I need help from all the Hilton Head experts please. DH said he'd like to try to take a short trip the first or second week of March. This would be our first trip there and I have no idea what the weather is like that time of year. How warm will it be? Would it be better to wait until May or will there be plenty of things to do despite the temps.

During mid-March, the temps will range from the low 60's to low 80's. The ocean will be too chilly yo enjoy, but the island is certainly up a nd running, since there will be lots of spring break activity at that time.

If you are looking for warmer temps and smaller crowds, May will likely be a better option, but any time is a good time for HH!

Thanks for the info, Doc. The temps would be warmer than Ohio! Just looking at the ocean would be enough for me. I am looking forward to trying the different restaurants. We both love seafood. We are actually thinking about March 10 thru the 15 or 16, hoping that we will miss most of the spring break crowd.
