When we go in December, I start watching the weather forecast the week before we leave to get a better idea of what we will need to bring. Then I keep an eye on the forecast for the days leading up to the trip and make any adjustments as-needed.Definitely double check the latest forecast right before you leave. As others have said, it is so unpredictable and could even vary across your trip. We go in December every year and live in north FL where the weather is similar to Orlando, and we pretty much pack for any season. Last Christmas it was in the 30s in the morning for rope drop and only in the 50s as a high almost out whole trip. The year before I have pictures wearing a tank top.
Also I don’t think it’s been mentioned yet, but you should bring rain gear, too. It’s not like the summer where it rains almost every day, but it definitely happens. In Christmas 2019, it poured just about half our trip. Thank goodness that wasn’t also the year it was in the 30s or I probably would’ve given up and stayed in the hotel room lol. But of course, it was still pretty cold once the rain came and we started getting damp.
We have also experience wildly differing weather conditions in Dec. One year we went and we had the most amazing weather of any WDW trip we've ever been on. It was low 80's and dry and sunny for our entire trip. But we've also had trips where it was in the 40's and 50's for most of the trip and drizzly wet and soggy. I hate being cold and wet.
