Hi all,
We'll be in DL and surrounding area March 31 - April 7. It looks like it's not very warm. I'm so used to driving to WDW and packing anything and everything. Since we are flying to CA, I am trying to figure out what to pack. It looks like it's going to be on the "cooler" side and possibly cloudy/rainy. It doesn't look like swimming weather, either.

What would you recommend? Anyone there this week - how are you dressing?

Thanks! :)

We are going the same days you are and I'm not sure what to pack either. I'm packing capri's and t-shirts for the girls and just a few pairs of shorts just in case. Also a light sweatshirt and bathing suits (just in case).

Would love to hear from someone that is there now also!

California is a complete 180 from Florida. The humidity makes it colder at night, whereas when I went to Florida, the humidity acts more as a blanket during the night. So bring sweatshirts!! Omg, you have no idea how cold it gets at night in DLR. Especially if the day is warm and sunny, because the contrast of the hot and cold weather makes the cold feel even colder. Don't worry about it being rainy, because if it's rainy, that will work in your favor. It chases the locals away, so it makes for less crowds. I would bring your bathing suites just in case, most pools are heated, so it might be nice to swim in them regardless if the weather isn't terribly warm. Also if you are looking for some fun things to do in land that are land exclusive and no where to be found in WDW, you must eat at Blue Bayou. You get to eat inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and it is an absolutely wonder experience. I always recommend this to WDW regulars because the experience/atmosphere of the restaurant floors them. The food is great (if you go for lunch, which I recommend, they have a delicious monte cristo sandwhich). You can also get this sandwich across the way at Cafe Orleans. It is just as good there and much cheaper, but with BB, you really pay for the experience (it's worth every penny).

Also, if you're looking for places to eat in the surrounding area, a few miles North on the I-5 will get you to Knott's Berry Farm. There is a restaurant outside the main gates (so you do not need to buy a ticket to the theme park) that sells the absolutely best fried chicken dinners. You get homemade biscuits and jam, sweet corn, cherry rhubarb, salad, mashed potatoes, fried chicken and a piece of pie for about $15. It is fantastic, and I always try to stop there during my DLR vacations. There are other things to eat there as well, but their fried chicken is famous, and the restaurant has great history. Definitely worth it to check it out.

If you have ANY more questions let me know! I used to work at Disneyland, so I might be able to help you out. :)

Okay I took a look at the forecast and I will tell you how I would pack being from Ca. But I don't know where you are from so I don't know how it will feel to you in realtion to the weather you are used to. But I will do my best to tell you what I do when I go down.
Your daytime low will be 66 and your warmest day will be 76. I would bring one pair of jeans just in case it's too cool for you. I would ware Capris, flip flops, short sleeve shirts and bring hoodie and sneakers for the evening. I would dress my girls in Bermudas and T-shirrs with hoodies in the morning. On the 76 degree days I would do tank tops and shorts. That's just what we would do living here. I usually go back to the hotel to let everyone regroup and change everyone in to jeans and hoodies if they didn't already have it. I did notice it felt really cool in the evening to me. I usually go down last week of April first week of May. I hope this helps you a little. :goodvibes

Thanks Daniellee725! I may have a few more questions for you before we leave on Saturday a.m.

californiamomof4grls, we are from Maryland, but we had 70-80 degree weather last week, but today it was low 30s and high 50s and tomorrow back to 70. In WDW, I always bring sweatshirts for indoors. I am always COLD! I am most comfortable between 68 and 74 :rotfl: But at those temps, I would still be in jeans and sweatshirt.

It sounds like I need to pack a little bit of everything. :confused3

We're going to be there April 1st through the 6th. I'm thinking we're going to be wearing capri's during the day with t-shirts, and then yoga pants or jeans and sweatshirts at night.

We're from Seattle, so the rain doesn't really bother us ~ although we were really looking forward to some warmth and sunshine, especially since we haven't had much this year :)

Either way we'll be at Disneyland so it will be GREAT!!!

April :)

We leave tomorrow morning from very drippy and chilly Seattle, so LA/Anaheim will seem SO warm! I can't wait!

I didn't pack any shorts this time. I'm flying with jeans and layers on top. Packed 2 pairs of capris. Short sleeve shirts and a couple of sweatshirts. It's not going to be super cold, so don't need a real coat. I just have plenty of things to layer (tank top/shirt/long sleeve). I have those super light tennis shoes that feel like air. Plus a pair of ribbon Teva flip flops for the park.

Don't forget your sunglasses :cool2:
